Afonso Alves, Brazilian, striker SC Heerenveen.
Afonso Alves is class. He scores a lot (34 in 31 matches), which is a respectable amount of goals. Since his arrival from Swedish side Malmo FF for £3,1m he has developed into a pure goalscorer and even a Brazilian international. Poorly he thinks he's better than the rest and demands a transfer to a bigger club and is determined to force a departure by staying away from several trainings. SC Heerenveen asks £14m for Alves, and that's their good right. Alves thinks he's bigger than the club, but he has to keep in mind: a player is never, never bigger than the club.
What's your opinion on this football player? Does he has the right to demand a transfer? Is he worth the 14m quid Heerenveen asks for him? Is he ready to leave H'veen for a bigger club?
Dutch greetings..
