I thought that overall, Wolves were the better team, they totally dominated the midfield and had a lot of possession, but our defence was superb, especially considering how inexperienced it is, we handled everything they threw at us and Simmo hardly had anything to do in goal.

We had a few chances though which on another day, we would have scored 2/3 goals. It summed it up for us at the end, when Rory Delap was through on goal, took the ball around the keeper before slipping as he was about to knock the ball into an empty net.

Our main problem is midfield, apart from Liam Lawrence, who I thought did ok today and was unlucky not to score, the others are not midfielders and are still playing out of position, and other teams are starting to find them out. It makes it even more frustrating at not being able to get more players in before the transfer deadline, let’s hope that Demar Phillips, the Jamaican international we signed yesterday, will add some much needed creativity.

Apart from that, I’m pretty happy, we could have won today had we taken our chances, and we have 7 points from 12 which is a good start, I hope that we can now get some players in on loan to strengthen the squad.
