No topic for the best tie of the opening round of the Champions League group stage?

What a performance from the Gooners.

Cesc and Flamini were sensational. Flamini MOTM. He can't be dropped at the minute despite Gilberto, Diarra, Denílson and Diaby knocking on Wenger's door for that position in the First XI.

That's how good he has to be, and he has been great. His distribution has always been his main weakness but he has improved majorly.

Cesc is Cesc. Sensational. And he's consistently sensational. I don't care what anybody says, he is better than anyone his age - and he's definitely up there with the best centres in the World. To command basically every game he plays from Midfield takes some going. It's OK if you're an attacking Winger like Messi, where you don't have to balance your game so much and be there in all parts of the game.

Cesc does everything and makes the most of everything. People criticised him for his lack of goals and now he's banging them in. Already beating his entire total from last season. But it's good that he's underlooked when compared to the attacking players who play to impress, as we want to keep his feet on the ground in North London.

You can't really talk much about the game in truth. We played like Arsenal do, and we outclassed a similar high class European opponent. It's coming to the level where most teams on the World will have to play a defensive game to halt us, because we play the kind of football that rips any team apart if you give us space. And Sevilla came at us (fair play to them) and we ripped them.

Based on that performance alone, you can see the growth of the young Gooners and they are playing like winners in all parts of the game. We've added a lot to it since last season and that's evident.

We've got a healthy strikeforce despite the departure of the World's best. Adebayor and van Persie are excellent Strikers, and Eduardo has a real fight on his hands if he wants to get into the starting XI.

The Midfield is packed with utter class. I don't mean to get all hysterical, but when Flamini plays like that and Cesc is there, then you've got Diarra, Gilberto, Diaby and Denílson all looking on from the bench, you just have to consider the depth and the quality we have.

Sagna was also superb tonight and he has the right sort of pace & presence that would make him a great CB as well.

All in all, chuffed. The treble is on. Wink
