Some of the interesting match-ups are (leg 1 scores in parentheses):

Tuesday:
Monaco - Real Betis (1-0)
Udinese - Sporting Lisbon (1-0)
Liverpool - CSKA Sofia (3-1)

Wednesday:
Ajax - Brondby (2-2)
Debrecen - Man U. (0-3)
Rangers - Anorthosis Famagusta (2-1)
Bremen - Basle (1-2)
Inter - Shalchtar Donetsk (2-0)
Villarreal - Everton (2-1)

The most interesting maybe Ajax who drew 2-2 and now play in the Amsterdam ArenA and Everton who lost 2-1 and now travel to the El Madrigal at Villarreal......

Will Ajax and Everton go through, and will someone else trip-up and get eliminated?

does anyone think Liverpool will have any trouble against CSKA Sofia tonight . They are leading 3-1 on aggregate but are without Steven Gerrard who is injured . I would have thought being at Anfield they should have enough to complete the job .

Some of Tuesdays results were Liverpool losing to CSKA Sofia 1-0, but getting through 3-2 on aggregate. Udinese winning 3-2 against Sporting Lisbon and getting through 4-2 on aggregate and finally Real Betis with a 2-2 draw against Monaco and moving on with 3-2 aggregate.

We'll now see what surprises tomorrow bring if any........Stay tuned Wink

Josemi played as central back.......!

Last night was really horrible......about the defense...

I thought we would lose another ball!!

While overall we created many chances for goals. That's good.

(Also happy to see Riise back to starting 11.)

Liverpool were lucky it seems!

Under pressure for most of the match!

Steven Gerrard is so important for them - injuries to him may wreck their and Englands season by the way!

do you think Everton have any chance of winning tonight against Villarreal? I don't think so, I'm impressed about Villarreal squad (Forlán, Riquelme, Figueroa..), they are quite good. I also think they could win La Liga in Spain Smile

Mohamed Sissoko was penalised for a foul on Emil Gargorov, and when Yordan Yurukov laid the ball back, Iliev saw his curling effort from range escape Scott Carson's dive and nestle in the far corner to stun the home crowd. I am watching the video again and again and again!
CSKA proved to be the most dangerous Bulgarian team in the European tournaments. They made me dream after scoring one and having a couple of misses on goal later. Good job, boys, I am waiting for the UEFA clashes!
