I attended the game between Dinas Powys and Goytre on saturday as a neutral as I am new to the area and wanted to check out the local team, well I can be honest and say I won't be going back to see Dinas Powys. I thought the behaviour was disgusting.
Fans and management for both sides shouting abuse and swearing and the officials was not called for especially when there is an under 9 team there, is this really what they should be shown. The officials are doing officiating because they enjoy it, and talking to the linesman in the second half he said he may well go back to rugby league because you get no abuse. It was bad enough seeing the players shout at the linesman for every descision they gave against him, but for a fan to get so wound up shouting abuse at him the refferee had to ask him to leave the ground, I had thought I had seen it all.
There was a fight at the end which just summed it all up, it made in my eyes both side look stupid and the people involved no better than children. The referee said he will be reporting both sides and I think that is the right thing.

I posted this comment on the Dinas powys guestbook, they accepted it but then have deleted it, obviously they can't handle the truth.

That is rough mate, and sounds downright disgraceful - I hate to say it but you could almost say it is a sign of the times, with the chav generation nowadays.

What league or division was the game in?

Also, though I appreciate you may not be in the mood to do so, but introduce yourself in the newcomers section so people can welcome you properly - not too many thugs amongst us, just beware the gooners Wink

I hope your time at Cardiff brings you opportunities to see better behaviour.

Maybe Barwick's latest thing about only allowing team captains to speak to the ref should start there.
And deleting your post - it just makes them look worse.

You could try and watch women's football down there - Cardiff ladies have a team in the Prem league (for a while, anyway). Smile
