This ManU goal was offside (cause it hit Tevez's head when he was offside) and a foul (Pique leaned on Diakhate to get an advantage on his jump).

In the other games, 35 minutes in, Barca got an early league with Henry, Lyon is up 2-1 against Stuttgart, Sporting and Roma are level 1-1, Fenerbahce is already 2-0 up against PSV, Slavia is still holding Arsenal to a goalless draw, Sevilla are up 1-0 in Romania and the biggest surprise (but only if you don't know how self-destructive Inter tend to be in Europe) is Inter losing 2-1 at home to CSKA.

EDIT: Inter just came back from 2-0 down and made it 2-2. I'd be surprised if they lose this now.

And a nice effort by Tevez (with a little help from Rooney) for United's second

Ronaldo can be so embarrassing. Did you guys see how he fumbled that little display he tried to do? lol

Ooh, Barca 2-0 up. Nice. Messi the second goal.

Things not looking good to good for Rangers with Lyon 3-1 up. Thats what happens when you play anti-football.

Yes, credit to Kiev for at least putting up a fight, unlike teams like Besiktas and Slavia when they played in England.

Hitzlsberger (sp) missed a penalty for Stuttgart that would have made the score level (3-3) against Lyon.

And Rooney just made it 3-0 after a nice cross from Nani.

EDIT: beautiful goal by Ronaldo. Clever through-pass from Evra, good control to get rid of the defender by Ronaldo and then a powerful straight shot past the keeper.

F*ckin Sporting Lisbon Confused I had money riding on tonights games and they're the only one's that have let me down by conceding a last minute goal by Pizarro.

A goal doesn't qualify as a good performance, to fool.

It's not that bad, if they beat Lyon at home (which, considering they beat them 3-0 away, is not unlikely) they'll still go through.

I don't agree with this 'anti-football' crap either - defending is half of the game. To exile anyone focussing in this aspect and to label them the enemy of football is silly - they were playing a team who are league's ahead in terms of ability, and a point would've been valuable. They were wise to sit back, most teams would. Hell, even your beloved United defends (to exercise their favourite weapon of counter-attack). It's nonsense to expect the smaller clubs of Europe to come out and play expansive football against the elite clubs of Europe when even the very best are cautious in big games.

I agree that Rangers are just doing what they have to do to make things happen for them.

Greece did it in 2004 and they now have a European Cup to show for it.

I think the Rangers - Lyon game is going to be a much different affair than the first game in France though.

Watched the ManU game. Boring first half, pretty decent second.

My comment before Ronaldo's free-kick: "Not another Ronaldo free-kick, FFS!"

The look on my face when it went in was exactly the same as his. Shock. lol

And Sporting were unlucky enough to score an own goal too. They played well and deserved a point from this game, so it's ironic that a Sporting alumnus denied them that right.

I'm watching Stuttgart - Rangers on repeat now. Lots of goals here.

I wish it was Lyon-Barca or Sevilla-Arsenal on repeat though.

Donati just made it 2-1 for Celtic! Crucial goal.

And Benfica drew with Milan, 1-1.

Olympiakos just beat Lazio in Rome (1-2) and are level on points (Cool with Real. But that would mean nothing if they end up losing to Werder in the last game. Real just has to avoid losing to Lazio and they should be OK.

Valencia only managed a draw and they're out. What a disappointing season for them so far.
