Chelsea coach Avram Grant insists Andrei Shevchenko still has a role to play at Stamford Bridge.
The Ukraine striker was reportedly far from happy with Grant after he was left on the bench for the midweek UEFA Champions League win over Valencia. Shevchenko did figure in Sunday's 1-0 Premier League victory against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium as a second half replacement for Florent Malouda. However, the former Milan hit-man never looked like adding to the one-goal he has scored in this campaign, but Grant insists the striker will come good. "We have a long season and he is trying hard. He is a great player," said the Chelsea boss. "I am sure he will be good for Chelsea. In this game we needed other players. "They pay me to be in charge. I have to be in charge and take the decision for the present and the future. I want to take the team forward." source: SkySports.com please leave your feedback on the issue of Shevchecnko and all other news relating to Chelsea |

I think if Chelsea want to move forward then they need to offload Shevchecnko and by another player to replace him in Jan.
Just think he looks a shadow of his former self. Can't really pin point why he's sh!t but to me he just looks like he don't give a sh1t. He's on a very good wage and his body language says to me as if he couldn't be bothered.... I hope Chelsea play him against Arsenal and In every match of the season!! |
