This forum doesn't have a 'Report Post' option. Why not? Every forum has one....

Not everyone can be bothered to take the time to go and write a PM to a moderator everytime they see something out of line or that shouldn't be there, so they don't.... Instead they just wait until a mod comes along and see's it but of course mod's don't see everything.

And it means that the members have a more convenient way of keeping the place tidy as opposed to taking things into their own hands which only makes things spiral further.

Is it possible? It seems so basic that I can't believe I haven't seen it picked up upon before...

Its a good idea but I have a question. Didn't we used to have a report spam thread? I just found a few link I wanted to pass on, its clearly spam:

the only problem with a report post option is how it all works , i have been on many forums where they have one and a lot of members moan that the mods have not done anything yet about the post ..or seem to have ignored them ...in effect they wonder why the forum has this option .

If we were to see a report post do we have to tell the member we feel no need to take any action over ot or just ignore it , will the member expect an explanation from the mod .

Not sure it is necessary ...but a reasonable request from Forev ..

I didn't think you could click on report a post just because you don't agree with it.

Most of the spam, porn and abusive posts are dealt with quite swiftly on here these days because of the lack of it, which is a credit to the Admin/Mods team.

Some other forums use a rating system, where each member has a score underneath their location which starts from zero. Everytime they post something worth crediting or criticising, they give them a plus or minus point.

That just gets out of hand as well. People who post and express their views honestly can be disagreed with very much, therefore are open to more slack and criticism - whereas somebody who kisses ass and plays it nice might get more brownie points.

It's a reasonable suggestion from Forev but I also can't see it working too well, or helping much. Unless he can go into detail...

Ignore most of them or just make a note, but if your getting complaints about the same person from a lot of users who support different teams then it would be your time to jump in. I think it's a good idea too... Can't wait to report someone for going off topic an ruining threads which happens a lot these days.
