Five's live coverage of Serie A continues today at the San Siro as Milan take on Empoli and i am looking forward hopefully again to a good game. Bad starts to the new season from both of these sides as Empoli currently languish in 18th place in Serie A with just one win to their name and with Milan suffering a stuttering start by their own high standards sitting in 9th in the table before kick off on a tally of 10 points.

I predict a solid 2-0 win for Milan here.

Aye I agree with you, Floody. Was having a gander at the betting odds earlier and 2 - 0 looked promising at $5.50.

Empoli are very poor defensively so Milan should score at least twice today.

Scoring away from home is also a problem. Only managed to score 4 times in 7 games, 3 of them coming at home. Coming up against Milan's defence I don't think they'll end up on the scoresheet today.

Conceded 10 goals in their 7 games for what it's worth.

Milan should put their foot down on the gas to really kick-start their season from here.

4-0.

Well that's just embarrassing for Milan up to now.

Great play and great goal for Empoli, but it was SOOOO easy!!

Got that right! A side with a lot of pace and aggression would destroy Milan today. I know they like to play at their own slower, built up pace but it just isn't working. Empoli have threatened on the break all game and deserve their goal.

Full time and the result at the San Siro - AC Milan 0-1 Empoli.

An embarassing defeat at home for Milan against a struggling Empoli side after a very lackluster performance. Milan dominated the game in terms of possession but always looked very vulnerable indeed on the counter attack and Empoli had their chances but often lacked a little composure. At times the home side passed the ball round well with seeming purpose as they often glided effortlessly through the Empoli Midfield but they looked very blunt and short of confidence in the final third.

Crap or Sh1te are the only words to describe Milan today. Espically those 2 OAP's they have upfront.

I have to agree that Milan have no chance of winning the title this year. They're just horrible.

They should just concentrate on finishing in the top 4 and doing well in the CL.

I think they'll be better once Ronaldo is back because they have created some good chances they just need someone to finish them off.

I sat watching the game, laughing to myself, knowing that Inzaghi has fooled the whole of Italy for so long. He's worshipped out there and people regard him as one fo the most lethal strikers in the planet..haha. He is so bad its unreal. He may score from time to time, but how he is playing for one for the biggest teams in the world is beyond me.

He needs at least 10 chances before he'll score one. The commentators didn't seem to pick up on his miss. Ball played across the 6 yard box, open net, no pressure and through his legs. He has annoyed me for years.

Milan possess no threat going forward without Kaka. They must have one of the oldest squads in world football. The majority of the squad is 30+ and Maldini, ok, fair play mate, you where unreal in your time, but that was the 90's. Should have went out when he was on top. Just embarrassing now watching a 54 year old man make a dash up the wing and needs covered for 15mins until he makes it back.

It gave me hope for our group in the Champions League. If we can get points home & away against Benfica, I think Milan will struggle against a very athletic Shakthar and it'll look good for Celtic.

To sum up, I'm 100% certain that there is at least 8 forum members that would do a better job for Milan than Inzaghi

Inzaghi scored much more you can even imagine, yesterday he played bad, but played bad all the team. Now, show respect to the striker who scored 2 in the Champions League final and Show MAximum respect to his history

The ball hit his arm for the 1st goal in the CL final. How he can claim it I'll never know.

Yes I said he scored plenty of goals in his time so "MAximum respect to his history" but he needs at least 5 chances to get a goal.

Yes the whole team played bad yesterday but I'm not basing my views on yesterdays game...I have never rated Inzaghi.

If he played for a one of the lower teams who struggle to make chances, he would be exposed as the ass clown that he really is.

Shame for Milan. At this point Milan needs a miracle to get back in form...and a couple of new players wouldn't hurt either. But I guess this is good news for young up-and-coming players who want in.

he scored two, in the final.. so tell me, why nobody is able to score like he does? he did twice the same goal, the first time in a derby, and the 2nd in the CL final. Probably it is not just luck
he isnt such a technical player, but surely is better of your pathetical orchestra players like mcdonald, burgerking and pizza hut

Inzaghi is the most frustrating player. I watched about 80% of his games for Juve back then and he was sooo frustrating. Juve could cut teams apart for 20mins and create magnificent chances for the wimpy little Striker and he'd just keep flopping around or stand offside.

BUT, just look at his goalscoring record. Somehow he manages to sneak in and get goals, and his box play is so intelligent that you can't deny he's a great talent. Technically and physically he's crap, but in terms of goal poaching he's one of the best. You'll laugh at him for 89mins and be in awe when he pops out of nowhere with a goal.

In saying that, he's well done and Milan are looking deader by the game.

Fresh legs need brought in and some energy with them. Drogba would be a great signing from Chelsea.

Milan are pathetic right now.

They won too much and they need a long period without any victory and full of humiliations.

Anyway else starting to agree with my prediction before the start of the season?

Remember, the one i made about Milan not even challenging for the title, and missing out on the top 3 again?

I would take Hesselink, McDonald, Killen and Derek Riorden all before Inzaghi. [beep!] poor. Theres a fella in my work thats around 30 stone, needs electirc wheelchair, I'd take hime before Inzaghi.

Milan were lucky to put Celtic out last year. We were denied 2 penalties but were not bitter, we'll jusst repay you's this year.

Hope you meet Liverpool in the Uefa Cup
