I am sure England will beat Croatia.

I think too that England will win the last match but it's not made, it's only a supposition. Wink

Not to mention that England needs to win 2-0,or better 3-1 wouldn't do,so it's 2-0 or more which at this point is really difficult to imagine happening, plus Macedonia beating Croatia which is even more unlikely to happen,so english fans should stick to israelis making them a favour.

Israel started with 3.5 strikers and on the 10th minute it paid off. Itshaki with the assist to Barda, Israel 1, Russia 0

24 minutes gone and Israel is by far the better team tonight.
According to Israeli football "tradition" this means we'll lose Smile

If there was such a thing as this match being fixed, Israel going one up is the ideal start. Russia are leaving it a bit late though.

Maybe it's not fixed and England could well be going through. Laughing

The game against United was played in Cyprus. It was the last (or second to last?) game of the group stage and United used the reserve team against the Israeli team. I know United's reserve team is better than Kiryat-Gat, but i still wanted to emphasize that Maccabi (which WAS a good team at the time, i'm not disputing that) did not beat United's first team.

The match was 2nd to last in the 1st group stage. I've been to that match and as you siad I had to go fly to Cyprus to see Haifa's "home" games that year. I cant belive I'm this debate again.
ManU had 5 or 6 player from their regular 11 on the pitch, that's hardly the reserve team. I agree it wasnt their strongest team but calling P. Neville, G. Neville , O'Shea, Solskjaer , Rio Ferdinand , Silvestre and Paul Scholes reserve that's just bull.

I wasn't in Cyprus at the time so i admit that my memory failed me on this one. For some reason i thought that players like Scholes and Solskjaer only came in later in the game, as subs, and i didn't remember Ferdinand in that game at all. After googling the game to refresh my memory it turns out United's only major absences were Beckham and Veron. So, apologies for the confusion.

Injury time goal for Isreal and it seems they did England a HUGE favour!
