Babel's second - absolute stunner. Just look at the way he uses his ribs to lob the 'keeper!!

The 3 best were Sektioui's, Kaka's and Babel's.

Kaka's might not look too impressive on first glance, but to hit that with 3 defenders glued on you finding the exact angle that would be out of the goalie's reach is not something simply anyone can do.

If Sektioui had scored with that Zola-esque in-the-air backheel kick it would have undoubtedly been the best of the night.

I think Gerrard's was superb. If it didn't get the deflection, it would definitely be up there. It was a great team goal, and Voronin's heel flick was sublime.

Yeah, the Voronin pass was good, but as you said that deflection made me decide not to include it in my post.

erm ~ could we possibly consider cr7's goal from free kick against sporting's one of the goal of the night? ~ lol
well ~ i believe it's a good one as he hardly seems to score from a goal kick ~ more like kicking to the 'wall' and getting blocked all the time xD
and it also states Man Utd as the group winner with 15 points out of 5 matches ~ wowzer!!

ps
first half's rather boring though ~ i thought we'd lose again ~ after the match against Bolton T.T

I watched most of the game... missed that goal Sad... and again, superb atmosphere I'd really love to go to one of their games....
