No man, it was too big a game to fall asleep during. Anyway, i've only ever fallen asleep during one Liverpool game, but you guys go on about like i d it all the time. Laughing I was really tired when that happened anyway. REALLY TIRED!

Good result for us. I wanted to see more from Babel and Benayoun, but it was Benayoun's first game back, so i guess a below par performance can be excused. As for Babel, well, he's just living up to that tag of not playing well when he starts.

Anyway, good result, we played badly in parts, but well at the start and end. We were lucky to win 4-1, but when we scored the second i thought we would actually go on to win 4-1. We clearly look stronger in attack now. Last season we were struggling to get goals late in games like this.

I'm surprised you had nothing to say about Quaresma's poor game. You practically beg for him or Vincent Kompany to come in almost all of Liverpool's transfers threads.

Are you sure? They barely troubled us in the first half hour.

We may not have made the most of our possession but we did have the majority of it in and about their area - we could easily have had two.

Nope, you've STILL spelt your team's name wrong!

You are the weakest link. Goodbye!

This is in reply to yeekiat's second to last post by the way. It looks out of place now..

I thought the chances we had weren't exactly clear cut. Towards the end of the second half they were really having a go at it. They looked like they could get another. Confused

What fiddly diddly doodly duck is up with you man? All you ever do is make digs at me. I don't dislike you, and have never said bad things about you, or things to [beep!] you off intentionally. Give me a break!

Anyway, i did really want Quaresma, and would still like him, but we seem to have 4 wingers doing quite well at the moment (that's including a fit Pennant) so he isn't needed badly. And i wouldn't be willing to pay £20m or £25m, whatever it is they want. It's just too much.

I am begging for Kompany though. I know Hyypia doesn't rely on his pace, but he is too slow now in my opinion, and i think we really need to bring in a young long term replacement. Who better than Kompany?!

I was delighted when he scored the second. Really pleased he finally managed to find the onion bag in a one of those one on one chances with the keeper. I don't dislike Torres by the way, i just don't go over the top. He has soo much talent, but his finishing is really poor for someone of his calibre. I said that before we bought him, and so far he has only proved me right. I honestly, really do hope he improves that aspect of his game and proves me wrong in the long run though.

Although i left for school at half-time and didn't watch the rest of the game but followed it on the internet i thought it was great from being 1-1 to a quality UCL team like porto that not just score 1 goal in the last 15 minutes of the match but 3 to really kill it off pleased me. Rafa has still got his job for the MOMENT but i'm expecting anything.

I will be laugh in if Liverpool now go an blow it in france they need a win marseille need a draw lets see what happens.

About the macth the tunrning point was the chace were porto couldhave 2-1 up after that is was all Liverpool and they dominated. Well Played

Actually Ameer, if Besiktas beat Porto then we only need a draw against Marseille (on the basis that us, Marseille and Porto would be on 8 points and hence head-to-heads can't count, so it would go off goal difference (of which we're far superior)). But indeed, that is very unlikely.

I think i enterpreted it as the first half hour because you said about Porto "counter-attacking" (they can't counter when they're dominating, which they were for the final 15 minutes of the first half). They were dangerous in that period but beforehand we looked very comfortable - i was very shocked to concede.

Do you type with your toes or something? Your spelling and grammar is embarrassing.

I agree with what you say though i.e. the turning point and laughing if they get knocked out.

Yeah I feel sorry for Crouch, he's done well as always in the Champions League this season. Voronin has been short on goals but his link-up play has been good so maybe Rafa was thinking about that and how Voronin can bring players into the game coming into attacking positions from Midfield like Gerrard, Benayoun and Babel.

We beat Boavista back in 2001 Wink

Are you sure? I thought we draw 1-1 both times?

I wouldn't be too surprised if we did.. no doubt if we do actually progress that we'll do it in typically tense fashion. Why does our defence always go to pot when it's an all or nothing game?

I think we did draw at home with Owen scoring but I'm sure we beat them away with Danny Murphy scoring.
