To be honest, I have no real impression of the Isreali teams.. Sorry mate, but if I have to choose Ill say Macabi Haifa since I think it was the first Israeli team I heard of. They attended Champions League in the 90's, right?

Not in the 90's it was in 2002/03. Finished 3rd in our group behind ManU and Leverkusen.

Seem to remember them from the 90's. Other than them Id say Maccabi Haifa although to be honest all four clubs are probably known to about the same level

Really? Beitar? They never advanced more than one stage of qualification in any european cup.
Hapoel Tel-Aviv were in there UEFA cup 1/4 final.
Maccabi Tel-Aviv were in the Champions League group stage.
And Maccabi Haifa were in the UEFA cup 1/8 final, Champions League group stage and the Cup Holders Cup 1/4 final.
