"What she didn't want was a foursome with two friends accompanying Van Persie - a married man she described as nice - De Telegraaf said quoting statements made by the woman to the police." Please, read this and send me your comments! http://topfootball.blogspot.com/2005/08/alleged-rape-victim-wanted-sex-with.html What do you think: are players really that pigs?! |

It's quite amazing that tsorro, but I'm not really surprised to hear it
Unfortunately we've read so many bad things about the behaviour of Premiership footballers, and quite a lot turns out to be true, although some is just media hype. But you're probably better placed to tell us about the media, being a journalist |

twmcat, you are right. Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and many, many more have been in the headlines for this kind of behaviour.
Though some is just media hype, I am of the opinion that no smoke without fire. Well, I have seen that this kind of behaviour is usual for famous people - not only soccer players. So, is this good news? I'm not sure. |

Perhaps this kind of behaviour is common generally (but not when I was young, unfortunately
For instance, we keep reading "Britain has the most binge drinkers in Europe" but it never names them as they're not famous, but if a footie player has a good night out, we'll all hear about it. I suppose it's the same with other things. |
