Unfortunately we've read so many bad things about the behaviour of Premiership footballers, and quite a lot turns out to be true, although some is just media hype. But you're probably better placed to tell us about the media, being a journalist

twmcat, you are right. Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and many, many more have been in the headlines for this kind of behaviour.

Though some is just media hype, I am of the opinion that no smoke without fire.

Well, I have seen that this kind of behaviour is usual for famous people - not only soccer players. So, is this good news? I'm not sure.

Perhaps this kind of behaviour is common generally (but not when I was young, unfortunately ), but the media only pick up on well-known people.
For instance, we keep reading "Britain has the most binge drinkers in Europe" but it never names them as they're not famous, but if a footie player has a good night out, we'll all hear about it.
I suppose it's the same with other things.
