Uefa Cup Group G
Date: December, 6 December
Kick-off: 1945 GMT
Venue: Constant Vanden Stock Stadium
Head coach Juande Ramos will use a makeshift defence instead, with a succession of players out injured or out of favour.

Others out include captain Ledley King, Anthony Gardner, Gareth Bale, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Ricardo Rocha.

Midfielder Jermaine Jenas is back after an ankle injury and could return to the side in Belgium.

Been told Kaboul and Ramos had a huge bust up at halftime against Birmingham, Kaboul has kept grumbling all thru training on monday so Ramos told him not to bother packing his bags for Belgium, he was staying at home! Very reliable source.

Hope its true, Kaboul at the moment is a good player for Ramos to make an example of that the dressing room is his and his alone. A player of Kabouls age shouldnt say one word back to the manager, glad Ramos has stood him down.

So lineups anyone? Id go with Zokora there, Hudd in midfield

Im not sure if taarabt was included in the uefa cup team but if he was i think he deserves a chance to impress and malbranque wasnt that good against birmingham.

Are Spurs already through? If so I think Ramos should give fringe players like Taarabt & the Prince a chance. If not, don't

A bold choice sir, this will be no walkover tho. A bit risky experimenting with a player that hasnt shown me anything suggesting hes ready for the first team. Oh and Steed was pretty good once he tucked inside into the middle, wouldnt mind putting him there for a whole game, doing something like

Jenas_____Hudd______Steed____Lennon (left)

Or maybe give Boateng a runout instead of Hudd.

No mate, I think we need a point but Ramos is going for the win by all accounts - could be quite a high scoring game knowing our defence!

Ahhhhh sweet sweet memories of last time we played Anderlecht in the UEFA Cup.......

I will watch the match, Anderlecht have a good Argentinian striker called Nicolas Frutos and Logear a good player too, i think they are the best players of Anderlecht.

I've seen the uefa cup final between these 2 teams in 1984. Anderlecht have eliminated Lens in this campaign, and it was our third participation in european cup and we have made 3 rounds, and it was against 3 belgian teams. We had 2 strikers Vercruysse and Xuereb that were olympic champions with France in 1984, but Anderlecht have a lot of good players like Scifo.

No changes at half time for us which is quite suprising.

6 posts in a row there YoBBo. Is that some sort of record??

Spurs need to avoid defeat to qualify right? But a draw could see them slip down into second/third? That'd be pretty bad considering if you finish second you get the Champions League drop-outs..

Fair play to you YoBs, keep it going mate.

Generally a poor game I thought, but difficult conditions to play football in - a constant downpour and skiddy conditions.
What is going on with Dawson? Its almost like Robbo's early-season crisis in confidence has been passed on to the big fella - he was a disaster for the Anderlecht goal, unable to read the danger and it wasn't the first time unforunately. I thought big Huddleston got caught out a couple of times napping too.

But we scraped a draw, and both teams seemed to finish the game stronger in the last 20 mins.

Hats off to Graham Roberts - he must see things through his blue & white shades, he'd put money on Tottenham going a long way if we get 2 centrebacks in January. I would love that, but honestly speaking, cannot see us doing anything this season...generally, we were pretty poor all over.
But Roberts last held the UEFA Cup aloft in the Tottenham lillywhite, so respect to the legend he is, whatever he says! Cool

It's a big mistake from the defense of Tottenham. I don't think there was a penalty for the Spurs. Frutos come back from an injury, and he is injuried again. Legear have not played, he is injuried. Hassan has made a good match.

Dawson was back to his best, save for one fatal error. Shame, because he was brilliant apart from that.

I'd take the draw and qualification any day.

Onto Sunday's game home to Man City, which I'm attending...COME ON YOU Spurs!!!! Razz

THere are some pretty average teams in the CL this year, including ones we thrashed last year in the UEFA Cup. Not worried about that.

There's also some tough possible ties though - the likes of Valencia, Werder Bremen, Lyon, Benfica and PSV Eindhoven.
