Juventus
Coach Claudio Ranieri rested a host of players during the Coppa Italia defeat to Empoli on Thursday night. Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Pavel Nedved and David Trezeguet were among a host of big names left at home. They will all return on Sunday, while Ranieri has to choose whether Vincenzo Iaquinta, Alessandro Del Piero, or both, start with David Trezeguet up-front. The Tinkerman may launch a trident attack. Long-term injury victims Jean-Alain Boumsong and Jorge Andrade are still out. Atalanta Former Milan midfielder Diego De Ascentis is available again after returning from suspension. Atalanta boss Luigi Del Neri is expected to make just one change from the team that thrashed Napoli last week, with De Ascentis replacing Tiberio Guarante. Claudio Rivalta is still out, while Riccardo Zampagna has been frozen out of the squad after his bust up with Del Neri, and will leave in January. Probable line-ups Juventus (4-3-3): Buffon; Zebina, Legrottaglie, Chiellini, Molinaro; Nocerino, Zanetti, Nedved; Del Piero; Trezeguet, Iaquinta Atalanta (4-4-1-1): Coppola: Belleri, Carrozzieri, Capelli, Bellini; Ferreira Pinto, De Ascentis, Tissone, Langella; Doni; Floccari Not the easiest match for Juve but they can cope with that. Will Del Piero start? Who knows.. but I put him in bench in my fantasy football team and put Mutu as starter in his place |

Always a joy to see Alex come on and change a game.
Little genius. Far from finished, although I understand why Ranieri prefers Iaquinta, with his power and pace. Still think Del Piero should be introduced to the First XI one way or another. Nocerino looks a real player these days also. |
