Camoranesi Out Until End Of January |
|
Juventus star Mauro Camoranesi has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a damaged quadricep, the club have confirmed.
The skilful winger picked up the problem in training yesterday and their were fears that he would be missing for a considerable amount of time. Camo underwent a series of medical tests today that confirmed that he had suffered damage to his right quadricep. “After the Christmas break we will re-evaluate his condition with a new scan,” a note released by the club states. “Mauro will return to training with the rest of the squad either in the middle or at the end of January.” Camoranesi has endured an unfortunate campaign and was out for around six weeks after picking up an injury in the week three defeat to Udinese. After returning against Inter on November 4, and playing for Italy in the Euro 2008 victory in Scotland, the 31-year-old has continued to pick up niggles. He missed the last two matches against Milan and Atalanta, but was expected to return against Lazio this weekend before this latest setback. The news will come as a blow to Juve boss Claudio Ranieri, who recently admitted that his team lacks creativity in midfield without Camoranesi. Massive blow for Juve |
