Former Longford Town manager Alan Mathews is the latest name to linked with the Cork City manager's job.
Mathews, who resigned as boss of the relegated midlanders last weekend, revealed that he has been approached by an intermediary to know if he was interested in taking over at Turner's Cross.
Cork have yet to clarify boss Damien Richardson's position with the club, with general manager Aidan Tynan unavailable for comment today. |
He did a great job with limited resources at Longford, back to back FAI Cups and the cup double a few years back too. He was the most successful manager in their history as far as i know.
He would be a good enough appointment id imagine
