Pats stay undefeated, and Dolphins win their first game. I'll post updated standings after Monday Night Football.

Shame, i was hoping to see the Dolphins go without a win!

My Titans doing OK in patches, much like my Jazz, but satisfactory. Pats and Cowboys looking great.

Updated standings.

AFC - Patriots stay undefeated as they beat the woeful Miami Dolphins who've managed to scrape their first ween last week against the Baltimore Ravens.

NFC - Dallas gains home-field advantage with a win over the Jaguars and a Packers loss to the Bears.

I've added league leaders here.

Adrian Peterson having a monster year as a rookie in rushing yards currently at #3. This is with him missing some games due to injury! Pride of Oklahoma University right there!

Last regular season week of the season. It's gut check time for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots as they put their perfect season on the line against the Big Blue of New York, Saturday night.

Games this week:

Saturday
New England Patriots at New York Giants

Sunday
Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons
New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles
San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
San Diego Padres at Oakland Raiders
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins
St. Louis Rams at Arizona Cardinals
Minnesota Vikings at Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs at New York Jets
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts

Games I'm watching: Of course the Pats-Giants match on Saturday.

On Sunday I'll be watching the Titans and the Browns closely as they're both gunning for that last AFC spot. Crucial games for the Vikings, Saints and Redskins as well.

Laughing All you have to do is beat the defending champions at the dome.

Browns have the tall order of facing the 49ers in Cleveland. Laughing

Looks unlikely there, flud.

There you have it. The New England Patriots sweep the NFL regular season with a 38-35 win over the New York Giants. Giants were well in control of the game, but Tom Brady showed the composure and the heart of a champion with a 65 yard TD pass to Randy Moss. They also converted the 2 point play. hey finally sealed the deal with another TD. Ely Manning had a chance to get it close but the ball was intercepted. They got the ball back and got 7 points, but it was too little too late. Patriots sweep, and they sure deserve it.

Laughing Lucky lucky floody. Tennessee manages to beat the Colts' 2nd string to clinch a playoff berth.

Here's how it goes.

Wild Card

AFC

#5 Jacksonville Jaguars (11-5, 2nd AFC South) at #4 Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6, AFC North Winners)

#6 Tennessee Titans (10-6, 3rd AFC South) at #3 San Diego Chargers (11-5, 1st, AFC West)

#1 New England Patriots (16-0, 1st AFC East) take on the lowest seeded winner; #2 Indianapolis Colts (13-3, 1st AFC South) take on highest seeded winner.

NFC

#5 New York Giants (10-6, 2nd NFC East) at #4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7, 1st NFC South)

#6 Washington Redskins (9-7, 3rd NFC East) at #3 Seattle Seahawks (10-6, 1st NFC West)

#1 Dallas Cowboys (13-3, 1st NFC East) take on lowest seeded winner; #2 Green Bay Packers (13-3, 1st NFC North) take on Highest seeded winner.

My Predictions:

Wildcard

AFC

#5 Jacksonville Jaguars at #4 Pittsburgh Steelers; Jaguars may be the sleeper team in the AFC and they have put up some impressive performances throughout the season. They are taking on Ben Rothlisberger and the Steelers who have Superbowl experience, but I think the Jaguars have what it takes to win in Steeler-land. I'm picking the Jaguars in an upset over the Steelers 27-24

#6 Tennessee Titans at #3 San Diego Chargers; The young Titans have something to prove, but Ladamien Tomlinson and Philippe Rivers want to show that the Chargers can stand up against the best in the AFC. The Chargers have underperformed in the playoffs in recent memory, so I'm looking at LT to gain at least 150 yards rushing as well as Shawn Merryman to lead the Chargers into a crushing victory over Vince Young and the Titans. San Diego Chargers win big over the Tennessee Titans 41-10

NFC
#5 New York Giants at #4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers It seems as if Jeff Garcia has been the good luck charm of teams he's played for after leaving the 49ers. He led the Philadelphia Eagles to the playoffs last year as he replaced the injured Donovan McNabb. Now he's proven that he isn't a fluke by leading last year's struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers back to the playoffs. Party ends there, however. I don't think he has what it takes, even with home field advantage, to beat the Giants as they are completely out-matched. I don't think the Bucks have the offensive line to slow down the Giants' defense, and the G-men's offense will pick the Buccaneer defense apart. Expect Ely Manning to have a huge game here. New York Giants win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-6

#6 Washington Redskins at #3 Seattle Seahawks The Redskins make the playoffs despite the death of superstar linebacker Shawn Taylor. They will be driven by emotion as much as their overall coherence as a team, and they should give the Seahawks some problems. The Seahawks dominated their weak (understatement of the century) conference and will play at home here. It's Washington DC visiting Washington State, and Seattle plays pretty well at home. They have a very experienced team and will settle for nothing less than a victory. However, I still think that the stage is set for the Redskins to pull off an upset away from home and win one for Shawn. Washington Redskins upset the Seattle Seahawks in a nail-biter, 17-14

If all these come true, these are my early predictions for the next round. I won't put any explanations until it's all said and done, though.

AFC Semi Finals

#5 Jacksonville Jaguars 3 - 38 #1 New England Patriots (home)
#3 San Diego Chargers 17-21 #2 Indianapolis Colts (home)

NFC Semi Finals
#6 Washington Redskins 6 - 24 #1 Dallas Cowboys (home)
#5 New York Giants 27 - 30 #2Green Bay Packers (home)

AFC Championship

#2 Indianapolis Colts 34 - 30 #1 New England Patriots (home)

NFC Championship
#2 Green Bay Packers 17 - 13 #1 Dallas Cowboys (home)

SUPERBOWL XLII
Indianapolis Colts 31 - 17 Green Bay Packers
