Background
MLS has an "all-star" game (which all American Sports have). Basically, it's a selection of top players in the league that come together to play as one team (or two) for one game. It's usually within the league itself; example: east division v west division; AFC v NFC (American Football); National League v American League (baseball) and so forth. However, the MLS has taken a different approach as of late by bringing in clubs from around the globe.

Previous All-Star matches against clubs from other leagues.
2003
MLS 3 1 CD Guadalajara (Chivas)

2005
MLS 4 1 Fulham

2006
MLS 1 0 Chelsea

2007
MLS 2 0 Celtic

2004 was supposed to be against Real Madrid, but due to Real Madrid not earning an automatic qualification spot in the Champions League the all star game reverted to the usual East v West format.

Also note that these all star games are played in the middle of the MLS season so these players are at their 'so called' peak/mid-season form. While their European counterparts are usually just beginning their pre-season training.

Liverpool will be chasing the dollar next summer on a North American tour whose aims will go beyond the making of a fast buck. The American-owned club has been approached to provide the opposition for Major League Soccer's All-Star Game in Toronto which, injury permitting, will feature cash cow David Beckham. The word is that Liverpool is also being lined up for a prestige friendly in Montreal's Olympic Stadium, possibly against Juventus, an event which would test the locals' appetite.

What date would this be played on? I'd say 1-0 to the All-Stars as its a pre-seaosn match and Liveprool will probably rest some key players..

It hasn't been confirmed as of yet.

Usually the end of July/early August is when the game is played. The dates change slightly. (a week here or there)

EPL All Stars v MLS All Stars? Laughing You'll be seeing an American Football type score on that game.

I think an MLS All Stars v A-Leauge All Stars matchup would be pretty good.

5-3 Laughing

to the A-League Very Happy

I think A-League would be good, but team would be hard to decide as it seems everyone is short for form at the moment so it would be like picking the best of the worst Very Happy

Laughing Well MLS is in the off-season right now. So everyone is rusty.

I've only seen a couple of A-League matches, and the current quality seems to be pretty similar to that of the MLS.
