Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol has ended speculation about his future by committing himself to the Bundesliga club.
The French full-back was disappointed not to return to the Bayern first team after a seven-month injury absence and, earlier this month, declared he wanted to leave the club in the winter break.
Manchester United were tipped to table a bid, but Sagnol has now had a change of heart and will fight for his place in the team.
"This was not my last game for Bayern," he said after appearing as a second-half substitute in the 6-0 over Aris Saloniki on Wednesday.
"I have spoken with the coach and the board and we have found solutions for all of our problems.
"There was no misunderstanding, just two different opinions."
Sagnol was initially ordered to play with the reserves to build up match practice after picking up a serious knee injury against AC Milan last April.
He has made only a handful of substitute appearances in recent weeks and admitted this had caused a bit of friction between himself and coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.
"We argued quite a few times," he revealed.
"But now we have found a solution which everybody is happy with.
"I expected more from the club (when I returned), but we have cleared the air."
In fact, Sagnol spoke out in support of his under-fire coach, saying he is "happy to work with him."
"I don't think it is ever a good idea to change the coach during the winter break," he said.
"We are all working for Bayern Munich and we all want success together.
"But I am glad I am not on the board, because it is going to be a big decision for them to make."

I wouldnt have minded having him at United, hes a quality player and being wasted on the bench at bayern but he says he wants to fight for his place so credit to him
