Did anyone catch the few recent women's A-League matches? I personally didn't see them but I heard the football was of a high quality? Anyone know where I can see more of women's football in Australia? (Top level football, not weekend stuff Razz)

We don't get the Aussie games over here , in fact we very rarely get the English games here. I have heard there's been some good games over there though.

Have you tried the Aussie FA site , they may have a women's section.

I was watching a game on the Aussie National team last night when they played USA , it was a very good game and they were unlucky not to get something out of it.

they played last night, or was it a replay from earlier ? In Australia women's football is only heard of around World Cup time and then occassionally you might hear the A-League are thinking of starting a Women's competition...

Mind you - your country is one of those backward (Laughing) countries where footie isn't the most popular sport, so the women's game must struggle more than it does here, I suppose Confused

yeah I call it football and people go nuts "Its soccer, we're not from England we don't call it football"...the game really needs a shake up here, maybe an injection of British tourists? Laughing

There are are parts of the UK where football has a different meaning to some people - eg if you say "football" in St Helens or other places where rugby league is played but they have no footie team of note.

To me, there's only only one "f" in "football" Wink

Hey Knowsley Road, St Helens - I did a course that was not far off that many years ago Laughing
Well, residential part and town centre part meant I passed it every day.

St Helens brings back "funny" memories for me Confused
