Fred will destroy the EPL. He is a brilliant player and cheap too.

Wenger doesn't want to lose Diarra, and in turn to try to not loose him, he's put a £6 million price tag on his head. (Arsenal bought him for £2 million from Chelsea)
Beyond Tottenham; Newcastle, Aston Villa, Everton, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Monaco, Paris St German, and Lyon are all keeping an eye on Diarra. Word is, Diarra would prefer to stay in the EPL though. |

Diarra is not worth 6 Million. 4 would be asking alot but I can see him going for 4 or around that but not much higher. I think Spurs or Villa have the best chance of snaring him. Villa need a hard tackling defensive midfielder like him, it showed during the 4-4 draw against Chelsea- they are easily hit on the counter attack, usually down the flanks. A player like Diarra would break up these attacks well.

Oh yea apparently a part of us getting Fred from Lyon would be backing off from Diarra and letting Lyon in there.

How reliable is source? have we made a bid or is it just Ramos would like to bring him in? Where are we with this deal, are we preparing a bid? |

Price tag on Fred is reported around £10 million. Paris St Germain just want him on loan but Lyon don't want to resort to that as of yet.

yes it is !
wtf! Levy serious about £30m superstar bid Wednesday 09 Jan 2008 17:15:40 by Editor TPC has heard that Spurs are seriously considering making a £30m bid for Brazilian legend Ronaldinho. TPC has received astonishing news that chairman Daniel Levy is contemplating making a club record £30m bid to try and land world superstar Ronaldinho from Barcelona. It is unclear whether the usually prudent Levy has taken leave of his senses or is taking some sort of happy pills, but TPC and COYS sources are convinced that he has identified the Brazilian sensation as the man to transform the fortunes of the current Spurs side. While the bid may be forthcoming, Spurs fans will be highly suspicious of the news particularly after the embarrassing failed moves for other big names such as Rivaldo, Fernando Morientes and Fernando Torres in the past few seasons. Should a bid from Spurs be accepted by Barcelona, who do appear desperate to release the former double World Player of the Year, the question remains how Levy will convince Ronaldinho to move to White Hart Lane over the other major clubs who will surely be interested and how the 27-year-old could possibly fit into Tottenham’s wage structure. Such a transfer seems a pipe dream but Levy may see the move as a statement of intent as Spurs look to recover from this season’s blip to challenge the top four in the Premier League. As always, TPC sources will keep us informed if there is any likelihood of this switch actually taking place. |

I don't like Ronaldinho because I feel he's really let himself go but you get the impression that Juande Ramos would kick him in the face if he did that at Spurs.Unfortunately he'd probably get sacked if he dared call out Ronnie.
I suppose it would be good for shirt sales and PR n all that if Ronnie signed.Plus berbs wouls likely stay and let's face it-that is Tottenham's priority. I think Downing would be a good signing.I know he hasn't been the best at Boro lately but maybe a change of scenery would see him become the player he once was. |
