Villa is better than Berbatov. He scores more and tries every game as opposed every three or four.

He tries harder, but i don't think he scores more.

Tottenham are back on the trail of German international Alexander Madlung.

Spurs, Everton and a third Premier League side have all watched Madlung in recent weeks.

In 2007, Spurs first checked on Madlung - when Manchester Coty also checked on his progress.

The 25-year-old is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League and the former Hertha Berlina stopper could get his wish this summer.

Madlung is also likely to appeal to any interested clubs as he has a buy-out clause of just 3 million euros (£2.3million).

Madlung is has just over a year left on his current contract but again local sources claim coach Felix Magath is in no hurry to offer him fresh terms so a move could very well be on the agenda for both sides.

Apparently David Villa has turned down the chance to join us as hed prefer a switch which would keep him in Spain and playing for the Champions.

Have been told despite all the rumours in the media, Kameni is not a target for us at all. Instead we are looking at Amelia, Skeletenberg (sp?), Neuer, or the other keeper in Bundesliga whose name i forget.

He wants Champions League football and would only come to the UK if one of the EPL top 4 were in for him.

According to Guilleme Ballague Villa will move to Real Madrid if anyone, although if he did come to England it would be Chelsea (Liverpool and Arsenal financially couldn't or won't compete and Spurs would be a step down in comparison).

I would take he thinks we a pinch of salt. Whenever a Spanish star is linked with a move away he almost always says they will go to Real or Barca and sometimes to Italy. He is pretty biased against British teams.

He said Torres would move to Liverpool. But then he and Benitez are supposed to be quite good friends, so perhaps he could've known.

Even if we do he can choose not to sign for us so that changes nothing.

Valencia could probably afford to slip him a token £40million from the fee... and that would change a lot. Wink

I really hope you can keep Berbs, because you haven't got a hope in hell of signing Eto'o.

O rly?

Yeh your probably right. But stop taking the fun out of the transfer window, its always nice to think about bringing in stars like Eto'o.

Well, it is fun, but there is a line. Eto'o is too unrealistic to be on the fun side of that line. He's more on the deluded side in my opinion.

He is a winner. He is arrogant. I hear he has a very large ego. He has apparently said he wants to leave Barca because he;s sick of the team not winning. He wants to win things, and be at the top. He isn't going to settle for anything less than the CL.

I think Ronaldinho is a far more realistic target. That keeps some of the fun in the transfer window surely?!

Yeh i know. Eto'o would be good but for the good of the team there are alot of players who would do better. He would think he is bigger than the club and no matter how good he is he wouldnt be. I think we need a tall striker with a great work ethic. Robbie seems to peform better when near a taller striker. When he was with Mido we almost got Champions League football. When he was with Defoe he didnt seem to play as well as he is at the moment.

How about Mario Gomez?

He's scoring about as many goals as Berbatov was scoring when he was in the Bundesliga. Gomez is taller as well i think.
