hey, Crouch isn't the worst on that list.

Still, Berbatov is light years ahead.

What about Fabiano though? Want him?

As i said, they don't need to replace like-for-like where Berbatov is concerned. In fact it would border on the stupid to try and spend a huge amount of money (as they would if trying to get someone of similar standard) in a position that is by far from their weakest.

If Bent had to partner Keane for a season it wouldn't be a disaster - if they left King as their main centre-back alongside Woodgate, and he predictably had a mass of injuries, meaning someone like Dawnson had to play regularly, then it potentially could be a disaster.

Yeah i know. Obviously the priority is on sorting the defence and midfield, but the remainder of their money can be spent on a replacement for Berbatov.

Oh and isn't Klasnic leaving on a bosmon, so he could be a cheap replacement.

Rumour

Taarabt hands in transfer request with Pompey ready to make an offer, but hed prefer to go back to french with a move to Bodreaux possible. We want to keep him so a loan move may be on the cards.

At least hes showing he wants to play football and not just pick up a paycheck.

Isn't he supposed to be a very good prospect, Taarabt?

Why's that?

Thinks he's the man, the best thing since sliced bread, and he knows best? Whatever other people tell him is rubbish, he wants to do everything his way? Thinks he has hit the big time so doesn't need to listen to advice and work on his game?

Doesn't sound too dissimilar to Lennon.

About that yes, and have had similar problems with Lennon but obviously not on the same level or else Lennon wouldnt be playing for Ramos.

Well, I am delighted to report that there is now absolutely no doubt that Berbatov is on his way. They have given up on trying to retain his services and will let him go. I hear that there are 7 different clubs already with bids on the table, both from home and abroad.

as i reported on 21st April.

the papers etc are only just starting to pick up on this.

it is fact.

Not exactly out of the blue tho is it.

Spurs ITKs have been saying it for a while too, he deffo wants out but its not certain until someone shows interest and makes a bid.

At the moment the club are in talks with Villa, he hasnt said no as some papers reported but its nowhere near a sure thing.

They are waiting to see what happens with Berbs, the only thing that needs to happen is someone to want him and pay, which i dont think will be a problem.

Also, apparently club officials are currently in Portugal talking to a defensive midfielder that Man U are also interested in. Suspicians its Veloso Smile

Veloso would be awesome. He wouldnt get a game at Man Utd so the chance of regular first team football would intrest him im sure.

Possible attacking threat:

-----Keane Bent

------Malbranque

Modric Veloso Huddle

^^ Swap Malbranque and Modric tho surely, play Modric in his best position making the play behind the strikers and Steeds done good on the left.

True. That would be a pretty slick attacking force though.

Damnit! You're going to have a stadium before Liverpool bloody does.

At least ours isn't a bowl design mind. I'm not the biggest fan of those - too generic, and not English enough.

While I agree that having a soulless coporate bowl like the Emirates isnt desirable, it really is whats needed to move forward as a club.

The gate receipts of 50k a game fans can set the club forward for years to come.

Copycats. Razz Just taking a friendly poke. Laughing

But why only 50,000? I figured they'd try to outshine Arsenal and go for at least 60,000 or so. How big is White Hart Lane?

I think it was Carlos Cuéllar.
