Please let this rumour be true it would really sure up our defence imagine our centre backs being Woodgate and.............................................Richard Dunne. Apparently he wants to join us so we could ge thim for 5 million or less. This would be a huge signing, both him and Woodgate are 28 so they are still very good defenders with at least 4-5 quality years ahead of them.

That'd be a magnificent signing for Spurs in my opinion. I highly rate Dunne and alongside a fit Woodgate you'd have a very assured defensive duo - a fit replacement for King really.

Would take Dunne too, another who I heard is unhappy with goings on a Man City.

Talksport fellas last night saying Spurs have signed Dos Santos from Barca, apparently the Levy flying out there to sign Etoo was a smokescreen to hide the fact we are going for him.

I hear hes definitely off somewhere, rest of squad arent too keen on him and Barca are worried he'll head the same way as Ronaldinho. (apparently enjoys the Barca nightlife a little too much) Also they have Messi, Bojan, and Henry they are definitely keeping to play his position.

Paper rumour...

Quote:
Spurs ready bid for Seville left-back
RAMOS EYES CORREIA

by AIDAN MAGEE

JUANDE RAMOS wants £8million-rated Sevilla star Adriano Correia added to his Tottenham squad this summer.

Defender Correia played a major role in the Spanish club's back-to-back UEFA Cup triumphs under Ramos and scored in last year's final.

Korean left-back Lee Young Pyo is tipped to leave White Hart Lane and head back to the Far East before next season, while rising star Gareth Bale is still recovering from a long-term foot injury.

Correia, 23, who has seven caps for Brazil, is also able to play on the wing. Ramos has been moving quickly in the transfer market and has already captured Croatian midfielder Luka Modric.

If this were to go ahead does it mean...

a) Bales not going to recover in time for the early part of this seasons campaign

b)Bales is going to be playing left mid

c)He doesnt rate Bale

d)Bale and this fellas playing on the left, Gilberto and Steed as back up...

I definitely hope there is some substance behind that rumour.

The papers here in Ireland have him linked to his old manager, Keegan, and possibly Arsenal too. I think he is a very good defender and quite underated.

I hope Spurs dont steal another player from us Twisted Evil. In my opinion he is one of the best CB's in the Prem so whoever gets him, it will be a great deal. I just hope its Newcastle!

We are linked with Sevillas Adriano and you are still talking about Richard Dunne? This guy would be a massive signing, having him and Bale on the left would be immence.

I havent watched him play at all recently but I think he is too quickly dismissed as an option for a Premiership club because of his time at Man U. The guy is a very good goalscorer and given the chance will score whereever he goes, id take him on a free as long as the wages arent to high giving us another striking option.

Is his contract up? Shocked
He scored 23 goals this season, he has been consistent for the last few years and even though it didnt work out for him at Man United, he is stil worth the risk. Spurs do love their striking options Laughing

He signed last season for 21 million euros

Tottenham are again being linked with a move for Cruzeiro's young Bolivian striker Marcelo Moreno, but could now face competition from Roma. The 20-year-old is one of the hottest properties in South American football and Spurs are keen to add him to their crop of young talent at White Hart Lane.

Earlier this week, Cruzeiro president Alvimar Perrella claimed Spurs had failed in an initial bid but urged them to get closer to the £6million asking price.

However, Roma can offer the carrot of possible Champions League involvement which means the north London club may have a job on their hands in attempting to persuade him to come to the Premier League.

Marcelo Moreno has averaged around a goal a game for Cruzeiro, who are based in Belo Horizonte, and made his international debut for Bolivia last year.

Tottenham are keen on signing Honduran international Julio Cesar de Leon according to the player's agent Manrique Amador.

Amador claims he has spoken with Spurs' sporting director Damian Comolli, and that the transfer of the 28-year-old Genoa attacking midfielder will go through as soon as the London club agrees to the player's personal terms.

"Tottenham's sport manager Damian Comolli, who is Italian and worked in Messina, asked me for information about him," he told Colombian newspaper El Heraldo.

"They really like the player and it only remains that they accept the conditions I let them know."

De Leon, who is known by the nickname Rambo, began his career in his local side Platense in 1996.

After a short spell with Mexican side Celaya and Maldonado and Olimpia in Honduras he moved to Italy, where he has played for Reggina, Fiorentina, Catanzaro, Sambenedettese, Teramo and Avellino.

Since 1999 he has won 61 caps with the Honduras national squad, scoring 10 goals.

From sky sports

Quote:
Giovani Dos Santos has admitted that his first choice would be to stay with Barcelona this summer amid growing rumours of bids from Premier League teams keen on taking him to England.

The Mexican youngster signed off his first full season in the Blaugrana first-team with a hat-trick in an entertaining encounter at Real Murcia and that will have attracted even more suitors.

Chelsea and Manchester City have been strongly linked with a move for Giovani, whose father and agent have irked Barca by continuously asking for more money, but he is not keen to leave.

First-choice
"It was Barca who opened doors for me and they are still my first option," the 19-year-old told reporters. "It is the media that keep saying that I do not feature in the club's plans, nobody else."

Despite all the interest, Giovani had other worries to occupy himself with as he became more and more concerned with the fact that he was not scoring goals for the first-team.

"I needed to score. I was anxious. It's never too late to show your goalscoring skills," he continued. "I've worked hard, and I've been denied a goal all season. The goals have rounded the season off for me."

Finally, Giovani dedicated his flurry of goals against Murcia to out-going coach Frank Rijkaard, after the Dutchman brought him through from the B-team in recent seasons.

"I've dedicated them to Frank Rijkaard, who I care a lot for," he explained. "I'm really pleased with the hat-trick. I didn't expect it."

No problem. Kinda confusing when you read sites and its all different information. Dos Santos would be great if we got him. Just seen him play and he does well at barcelona. He is only young so i reckon he would stay at barcelona. If anything maybe get loaned out.

Surprised

That would be a rather pleasant turn up for the books - I thought he was as good as gone.
