It was Pav and Arshavin my mate was talking about last week (the 2 from the same country clue) He has confirmed now that it's out in the open. This doesn't mean it in any closer or further away, just that it was those he was referring to. He was very over the top about it though, so he seems to think they are on. In other news, he seems to think that Berbatov's head has been turned back to London because of what appears to be going on spending wise. Also says that Levy is very upset with the Mancs and it aint for show - He doesn't want Berba to go, and now certainly not to them. |

As soon as I saw Pavlychenko in action I knew we'd be seeing him in the Premiership soon enough.
If Spurs do pull off these 2 signings it will be very impressive and surely you're in for an exciting season and some good football to watch. Scroing goals and attacking football has never been a problem for Spurs though! just have to sort out the defending side of things now! Hats off for some decent signings though! |

i hope we dont do a Chelsea and end up with too many midfielders and have nobody to bang the goals in up front, we have so many midfielders at the moment and if bentley comes in we will have 8/9 players fighting it out for 4 positions, also i really think attacking has never been an issue for us, all these links to attacking players dont make me happy, i waana see some brutal hard men come in to hold the fort at the back, some cover for ledley and a DM please, its so much more important we sort that out IMHO

Still feel we need a quality defensive midfielder though, i personnaly think if Tom Huddlestone becam more mobile and fit hed be a quality player needs to try and become more of the Carrick body shape, he has lost wait and i hope he has a quality season in the upcoming one.
Arshavin would play just off the Striker if he signed im guessing. Modric in the middle alongside at the moment either Zokora or Huddlestone, or on the left as at the moment looks like we wont have one, Steed could be off and then Modric could play there? Zokora has the potential to be our DM I feel, he was immense for the last quarter of the season even tho he was playing in a team that didnt seem to care anymore.

Maybe thats why he shined though Jono not because he was actually outstanding, but because everyone else was poor.
I do agree though he has potential to be a very good player he has the energy and commitment to be a very good player just needs to win mroe tackles and be more dominant i feel. |

Not necessarily, we have more than enough money to afford these signings without selling those two. But in saying that I still think both will leave, Keane im not worried about but Berbatov would be great to keep. Selling Keane to Pool and the dross to Sunderland etc would be plenty. In dream land we make these signings and do that but keep Berbs but aint gonna happen. |

Should have snapped him up then, cant spend money with that kind of uncertainty at the club that we had back then tho. Unfortunately that might have been our chance but we'll see how this situaiton plays out at the moment i guess.

that would be ideal as we need someone of his ability to play that elusive DM role that many think we are lacking, to be honest i dont think relations are at their best between us since Spurs have complained about the conduct of Liverpool (which i think is exaggerated and superficial politiking by levy) |

Blackburn have accpeted an offer for Brad Freidel. They need a goalkeeper so does this mean the Bentley rumour could be true with Robbo heading to Blackburn? Hope so, if we sign a big striker like Roman Pavyluchenko we need someone to be able to put good balls into the box for him.
Bentley isnt the best player in the world but will create goals and score them even if his stlye of play isnt the best. |
