He left Everton last year... And the way he did it I wouldn't really want him here although he is a fantastic player.

Yes I know that he was there last year.....and will be there again till summer.

"David Moyes knows nothing of a reported move for Manuel Fernandes.

Friday's Daily Mirror claimed that Everton were keen to sign the midfielder on loan.

Fernandes joined Everton in January of last season on a temporary deal and enjoyed a successful six-month period on Merseyside, but then surprisingly joined Valencia in the summer.

But the Portuguese hasn't figured regularly for the Spanish outift and rumours of a departure have surfaced.

Moyes, however, was bemused by suggestions of a move for the player.

"I didn't even know that," he said of the rumours. "Have I? Not that I know of!"

The Blues boss added that while no transfer activity was imminent, he was looking at what players might available.

"Not at the moment," he confirmed. "We are actively having a look around, but I think like everybody else, if the right thing was available we would try to do something - but there is no news to give about anybody who looks as though they are on their way in."

But you never know..

My information is that his agent has said today that is done. He spent Thursday's night in the prison due to 'problems' in a night club and Valencia don't want him.

He sounds like a great Everton player then.

Didn't get to see it. How was the game as a whole, Bluenose?

Terrible game. Moyes left it well to late with the subs I think.... And I don't think we even had a midfield at all. Just shows you how much we're missing Osman, Cahill and arteta when we're doing so well but along comes a team like oldham and take us at our own ground.

I also couldn't believe how unfit their goal keeper was... His shorts were really tight but he kept a clean sheet I'll give him that.

Just one of those days then I guess.
