Nurnberg have confirmed a deal has been done with Monaco for the transfer of Czech Republic striker Jan Koller to the Bundesliga strugglers.
The 34-year-old striker took part in his first training session with the Bavarians on Sunday after signing a contract until 2010.
"My aim is to keep Nurnberg in the Bundesliga," Koller told a press conference on Sunday.
"I have seen the club play on television and they are not a bad side at all."
Nurnberg have spent the winter break inside the bottom three, but Koller believes he can turn things around for last season's DFB-Pokal winners.
"With my goals, I will help ensure that the second half of the season runs better," he said.
