Poulsen is one of the most under-rated defensive midfielders around. great signing for Juve in my opinion.

But do they need a defensive mid?

They need more attacking options. Their defense is good, from what I saw this following season he was a well rounded def-mid. Their offense on the other hand is getting old. They need the next wave of offense and fast.
Yeah they definitely needed a Xabi Alonso/Pirlo/Deco type of player one good at passing. Poulsen is a good player for sure but they already have Sissoko and Zanetti that do the same job Rolling Eyes

Real Zaragoza midfielder Matuzalem has joined Lazio on an initial one-year loan deal.

The Brazilian's future has been the subject of speculation since Zaragoza were relegated from the Primera Liga at the end of last season.

The Spanish side were reluctant to let the 28-year-old leave but it has now been confirmed that he will link up with Lazio for the forthcoming season.

Fiorentina admitted there's an offer by AS Roma for Adrian Mutu. Pantaleo Corvino sportive director of Fiorentina said that the policy of the club is to keep the young players and do not force to stay against their will the older. So Fiorentina is considering the offer did by Roma that rumours say is around €18-19 millions

Too much for a 30 yo player imho, if we've to spend that much on a single player I'd rather prefer a younger one

If he can get Roma high success than it might be worth it in the end?

The only doubt is whether a player at that age can deliver?

I don't know if he's an all-round better player but what we needed this year was a striker with physicality and Baptista can do the job decently, thus he can play also back as a defensive and offensive midfielder, maybe also as a winger at times

Mutu on the other hand is older as he turns 30 on January (Baptista is still 27 yo) and I still didn't get where he should be supposed to play at Roma if on the offensive side, or behind Totti or maybe as a lone striker

Latest news is a possible Trez-Eto'o swap deal as Guardiola prefers Trez to want-away Eto'o and on the other hand Trez has been overshadowed by Amauri/Iaquinta partnership so far in the pre-season.

Not only that, but Trezeguet is a Juve fan favorite and legend. It is pure shite, no way Juve will sell Trezeguet.

I wonder where we'll find all those money... our budget is around 20 millions and we've to buy at least 2 players.

Anyway Ernesto Bronzetti said today that Silva is heading to Barcelona.

But for 'Sport' we made a 25 millions offer for Eto'o

Roma buys Jeremy Menez (21 yo, winger/forward) for 15 millions from Monaco, some great things of him on youtube

EDIT: actually Roma paid €10,5 millions plus potential €1,5 millions
