Emil Dantchev, the agent of Dimitar Berbatov, has left the door open for a summer move involving his client and AC Milan.

Although acknowledging that as yet there has been no contact between Milan and Tottenham Hotspur, Dantchev has not ruled out an end of season switch.

"If there is any interest (from Milan), there has been no contact with his club," he told Setanta Sports News.

Such statements are not going to placate Spurs supporters, already apprehensive about prematurely losing the ex-Bayer Leverkusen player before the end of his contract.

The 27 year old has spoken in the past about joining one of Europe's elite clubs and Dantchev rates the Rossoneri in that bracket.

"Milan are one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and if there is interest, we would discuss it with Dimitar," he added.

With the European Champions eager to reinvigorate their mature squad, Berbatov seems an ideal summer capture. Dantchev was adamant, however, that his star-client's head is not being turned by such speculation.

"At the moment, Dimitar is concentrating on doing his job with Tottenham, there is plenty of time until the transfer window," he added.

That transfer window, which edges closer by the day, could see Berbatov leave his comfortable surroundings in favour of pastures new.

Dantchev continued: "If a player is happy, that does not mean he cannot be happy somewhere else."

With Spurs almost certainly reluctant to sell, it may take a bid upwards of £20 million to prise the Bulgarian away from London. In need of a reshuffle, AC Milan may just be tempted. An anxious few months seem to be inevitable at White Hart Lane, as Spurs may be forced to contemplate life without their talisman.

Juventus are preparing a summer bid for Reggina full-back Francesco Modesto, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are looking for a new left-back for the 2008/09 season, after Cristian Molinaro proved quite conclusively that he is not up to the task of playing for such a top team.

Juve have been linked with a host of names, however it appears that Reggina’s 26-year-old star Francesco Modesto could be the player to plug the gap.

Modesto has had an impressive season for the Calabrians, and was superb during the recent defeat to Inter, causing the Nerazzurri all kinds of problems.

The defender is also admired by Roma, and was close to signing for them last summer.

Juve would be able to purchase the player for a reasonable fee of €6m, a price tag that the club hierarchy are happy with.

Modesto signed for Reggina in 2005 from Ascoli, and his other previous clubs include Vibonese, Cosenza and Palermo.

The player featured for the entire 90 minutes in Reggina’s 1-1 draw at Livorno last night.
I'm not sure they need him to be honest

We do need a left back, but Modesto isnt good enough to play for Juventus in a Champions League. I'd be happy with Grosso

Speculation is increasing that Alberto Gilardino is set for a summer move to Roma after his agent admitted that he would love to play with Francesco Totti.

Gilardino's future at San Siro has been in huge doubt for quite some time now following a third disappointing season for the Rossoneri since his big-money move from Parma in 2005.

Milan have made the signing of a top-class centre forward their summer priority, and Gilardino is widely expected to be the man that makes way for this player.

Up until now the favourites to land his signature have been Fiorentina, however comments made by Gilardino’s agent today have suggested that a move to Roma could be on the cards instead.

"Certainly to play with Totti would please everyone,” Giovanni Bia told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Alberto is a footballer who plays for the team. His future will be discussed in June. Currently Alberto has a contract with the Rossonero club. Later on we will decide what to do.”

Roma are well known to be in the market for a penalty-box target man, and Gilardino is the kind of player who fits this description.
Yesterday came out a rumour about a possible swap between Gilardino and Mexes, nothing true probably. We've just two CB for next season Mexes and Juan I doubt we'll sell Philippe this season

Mexes is better, but i do think Gilardino could do quite well at Roma.

So, what's wrong with Chiellini people?!

Nothing wrong with him. As I said Juve doesn't need Modesto 'cause they've already Chiellini and even Molinaro that are better than him. Now Chiellini isn't the best left back around but hes better than Modesto imo

I rather playing Chiellini in centre back and Molinaro, as much as I dislike admiting this, is worse than my sister. If we signed a decent LB like Grosso we could play in CL with
SALI/GRYGERA--ANDRADE--CHIELLINI--GROSSO, with Zébina, Legrottaglie and co in bench, and it would be a solid defense

And cmon you damn romans, do your best and take this Scudetto from Inter. They are begging to lose it

MILAN, April 17 (Reuters) - Torino's new coach Gianni De Biasi will look to spoil Inter Milan's day when the leaders visit Turin this weekend while title rivals AS Roma have an easier-looking task at home to bottom club Livorno.

De Biasi quit Spain's Levante on Wednesday for a third stint at Torino, who are four points above the relegation zone with five matches to play.

He will hope for a quick pick-up in form against the champions on Sunday (1830 GMT) but he will be without on loan Inter playmaker Alvaro Recoba, who is suspended.

Inter, four points ahead of Roma, have Patrick Vieira out with a ban while striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to be troubled by a knee problem.

Luis Figo hurt his calf in Wednesday's dull 0-0 home draw with Lazio in the Italian Cup semi-final first leg where Inter largely fielded a reserve line-up.

Roma beat Catania 1-0 in their semi-final first leg thanks to a thunderous shot from Francesco Totti, who is coming back into form at the right time after a number of niggles.

Livorno are two points adrift of safety but will be buoyed for Saturday's match (1600) by relegation rivals Parma's 3-0 defeat at third-placed Juventus in the league on Wednesday.

That win all but sealed Juve's spot in next season's Champions League qualifiers as they lead fifth-placed AC Milan by 12 points.

Claudio Ranieri's side travel to Atalanta on Sunday (1300) knowing that if they better Milan's result at home to third from bottom Reggina, they will secure a qualifying spot.

Stuttering Milan, Champions League winners last season, have defenders Kakha Kaladze and Alessandro Nesta back from bans but Massimo Ambrosini and Daniele Bonera are suspended with striker Alexandre Pato a doubt with a knock.

Milan can still reach the Champions League qualifiers by overhauling fourth-placed Fiorentina, who have a four-point advantage and host Palermo on Saturday (1830).

Sampdoria in sixth are level on points with Milan and face seventh-placed Udinese on Sunday in a crunch match in the race for Europe

Juventus could be set to make a transfer bid for Tottenham Hotspur flop Younes Kaboul, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The French defender only joined Tottenham from Auxerre last summer for £8.2m, however his first season in English football has been nothing short of disastrous.

The 22-year-old has made a huge catalogue of calamitous errors, and having lost his place in the first team, it seems likely that manager Juande Ramos will sell him in the summer.

Juventus were interested in signing Kaboul before he joined Spurs, and according to the Corriere they are ready to resurrect their interest.

Kanoul’s agent revealed earlier this week that it was possible that his client could be leaving, and he named Juve as one of the teams interested.

"Younes is happy at Tottenham, but the only problem at the minute is that he is not playing enough," said Rudy Raba.

“It is his first season in England and he has made a few mistakes, but you do not become a bad player overnight.

"I know a lot of clubs would like to sign Younes if he became available with Lyon, Marseille, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Lazio all interested in him."

Milan Confirm Flamini Signing

AC Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the club will sign Arsenal’s Matthieu Flamini tonight.

The Italian and English press have been reporting for a number of weeks now that Flamini will be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season when his contract runs out.

Milan and Juventus have been the two main sides competing for his free transfer signature, however a news report by Sky Sport Italia last night, revealed that the Rossoneri had won the race.

Milan transfer guru Adriano Galliani has now confirmed that this is true, and says that Flamini will fly to Milan this evening to officially put pen to paper on a fouryear contract.

“Flamini will arrive this evening and sign a four-year contract,” announced Galliani.

It has been a wonderful day for Milan, who this afternoon defeated bitter city rivals Inter in the derby.

This result, coupled with Fiorentina’s 2-1 defeat at Cagliari, has allowed Milan to move into the fourth and final Champions League position.

“Milan dominated the match for 75 minutes, then Inter came out,” said Galliani of today’s success. “I think the win was deserved and we are now in charge of our own destiny. All we have to do now is win the last two games.”

The Diavoli’s final games of the season are away at Napoli, and home to Udinese.

It was our own member J-Axe

Just type "I belong to Flamini" on google and it will show. It was rather runny, but this is funnier.
