With more home wins than home losses, the Mariners have buckled a bizarre trend of away teams having won more matches than home teams in the Hyundai A-League this season; after Round 19, away teams have won 28 times compared to just 22 wins for home teams (i.e. away teams have won 56% of non-drawn matches).
- To give an indication of the unique nature of away teams winning more than home teams, it is worth noting that in 108 seasons of professional football in England - with up to four divisions per season - the number of away wins has never come close to matching the number of home wins in a complete league season. i think will be a 1-1 draw
griffths scoring for newcastl and aloisi scoring for ccm

central coast 1-2 Newcastle jets
fairly even match here
joel griffiths scored the match winner. Creating enough of an opening to get it past vukovic
holland opened the scoring for the jets in the 6th minute
kwasnik scored 3 minutes later. This was a classic, kwasnik got past 2 people and then snapped a shot past a third and the keeper covic

i think covic won the battle of the two keepers here, making some crucial saves towards the end, especially the one handed save onto the crossbar to deny aloisi

wheres nufc? thought he would've posted by now. As a matter of fact im doing most of the posting, bar a prediction from pommie

this was a pretty good game in hindsight. The game was atleast entertaining to watch and the two teams were competitive. Much better than the sydney game
