i hope the Spurs can push on and this helps them in the league.

also i hope this stuns Arsenal a little and leaves them vulnerable for when we play them in the league on the 2nd of feb.

Any reference to Wenger being a child molester etc, stated as fact or just insinuated, are not acceptable here.
This is a family forum for one thing, and I have not seen any proof anywhere regarding these rumours.

This is a warning to anyone who posts in that way that a ban will be possible - this is not an official warning, but the next time a post hinting at these things is on here you may well get an official warning.

I'm not picking on you lot - but it seemed a good time to mention it Wink

And it applies to everyone else who won't behave decently.

Turns out that Gallas did NOT spit in Bendtner's face. It was blood that Bendtner was wiping off.

"team-mates Nicklas Bendtner and Emmanuel Adebayor squaring up to each other and furious words were exchanged between the two.

Skipper William Gallas intervened, castigating Bendtner in full view of the capacity crowd and television cameras; referee Howard Webb also arrived on the scene to talk things over with the players concerned, but no cards were issued following the incident.

As the players headed down the tunnel at the end of the game Adebayor was restrained, and Bendtner had a visible gash on the bridge of his nose and blood on his shirt; it is thought that Adebayor headbutted Bendtner during their initial altercation."

It doesn't surprise me if Bendtner said something stupid to Adebayor, and Adebayor set him in his place for it.

^^^ Haha thats classic, they lost it completely.

Typical, after all the punishemnt we have taken from Arsenal in the past I was so nervous about this game I chose sleep instead and just to wake up and see the result either way. Then I didnt have to have the stress of seeing us go one up and sit back to try to defend it!

But I forgot we dont have Jol anymore we have RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMOS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing performance from the boys, they were really up for it.

5-1! Unbeliveable, I dont think any Yids would dare have dreamed of that Very Happy

Going to watch the game on repeat all ngiht now, bye.

This was a good start, listen to that crowd! Thats insane, Yidomatts in there somewhere.

Sorry to undermine you twmcat but you've let plenty of things run alot worse then this. Like a certain link posted in another thread which you were repeatedly asked to remove. Not trying to get up you or anything just think its strange an anti-Wenger comment is cracked down on straight away but a hate site remained.... ah well had my say now Smile

Congrats on the win Spurs Very Happy

^^ Nice one Flipper, I think its funny how after all Wengers posturing about playing te reserves he bottled it and included Gallas, Fabregas, Adebayor, Eduardo, Gilberto etc and they still got thrashed.

I mean he can play whoever he wants but today it wouldnt have mattered, Spurs were unstoppable. In that state that high level sportsmen sometimes refer to as 'the zone'

Edit: Super Juande Ramos says

"In order to beat a team like Arsenal, you have to play well," said Ramos. "We didn't make mistakes and were perfect in all areas of the team.

"The effort that the players have put in to reach this final means they are the architects of this victory."

Ramos took over from former Spurs boss Martin Jol in October and has led the club to a final in his first season.

"It makes me tremendously happy that the fans are happy with my work and with the team - but the architects of this were the footballers themselves," he said.

"They're the people putting in the effort on the pitch. In the time that I've been here, there's recognition of what we're doing and that's very pleasing.

"To get to a final in such a short period of time since I came here is a fantastic achievement. More so for the fans, who are tremendously happy.

"It's been a long time since they've had a flavour of a final.

"It's tremendously satisfying, more so because they are a direct rival from the same city and, add to that the fact that we hadn't beaten them for so long... and add to that the scoreline. It's all the more satisfying."

That's a bit naff.

We lost to a strong Spurs side in a competition in which we have always fielded a strong selection of non-First team players. Getting beat and getting put out does not effect our season. It would have simply been a bonus and another final experience for a lot of our younger players. Our priority is the Championship, then the EC, then the FA Cup.

No Arsenal players kicked and bitched their way through the game. We got totally embarrassed on the night by a flood of goals from Spurs, yet we still got the ball down, kept to our usual positive game and looked forward. Adebayor's goal, Bendtner's bar-smashing shot and a lot of the other opportunities were created through great discipline and attitude. The positive attitude was very good and the only player who actually 'kicked' out was Justin Hoyte who kicked out in frustration against Robbie Keane.

I expected our youngsters to start kicking and starting push-abouts whilst surrounding the Ref in frustration and anger. But I thought they controlled their heat quite well and left their frustrations to be shared amongst themselves (ie. Bendtner and Gallas, Hleb and Diaby, Gallas and everybody).

I thought it was very sporting and the Ref was never really pressured by any unsporting behaviour. There were a few niggly fouls and a couple of yellow cards, but no real evidence of 'kicking and bitching' throughout - that's for sure.

I agree with that totally. I was expecting Arsenal's kids to start throwing the toys out of their prams but to be fair they kept their heads and even Cesc swapped shirts at the end. I respect that, they showed their class in how to handle to heavy defeat.

Laughing

showed their class by headbutting their team mates?

^^^ Haha saw that, Adebayor would OWN Bendtner. Bendtner looked like he was going to dob him in to the referee ands get him a red card Laughing

Adebayor should have got a second yellow anyway, for the push on Lee in the face. Scum.

Oh and Blobbo can [beep!] off now, didnt even come out on the pitch to congratulate his teammates or celebrate the win with the club that pays his wages. Unstead he just sat there looking miserable while we demolished our fiercest rivals. Sulky git.

well ..what can i say that has not already been posted , we were well and truly thrashed last night ...a 4-1 would have been bad enough ..but a goal with basically the last kick was rubbing it in a bit ..

I dont think Wenger expected this when he added a few regulars to the team , would it have been worse if he had stuck with the youngsters ...Gallas was terrible . Hlebb tried but nothing worked for him , Gilberto is still playing like he is not bothered , even Fabregas had no real impact on the game for us , Adebayor got us a goal ...real beauty .....but all too late really .

I disagree about the incident with Adebayor and Lee , the hand in the face was nothing ...the ref used his head and realised there was no real vicious intent by Adebayor ..i thought Lee made a real meal of it going down like that . Our players are always being crticised for acting when maybe Fabregas or Eboue makes out they have been hit or injured , well Lee did exactly the same so i think fair is fair ..shame on him ..i noticed he got up seconds later with no problem at all .

But let me end by congratulating Tottenham and saying they thoroughly deserved their place in the final ...they were the better team in both legs ..we got our asses whipped last night and it hurts more as it was Tottenham ...they wont forget this for a while .

Arsenal V Spurs
