RANGERS have launched a surprise bid to sign Hearts keeper Steve Banks.
And the Englishman could make his debut at Ibrox in this weekend's Scottish Cup tie with minnows East Stirling. Manager Walter Smith made the move after current back-up keeper Roy Carroll asked to be allowed to return to England during the transfer window. The former Manchester United man has not played an SPL game since signing for Smith during the summer. Premiership strugglers Derby County are leading the chase for his signature and Carroll will be allowed to go there for free as soon as Smith secures a replacement understudy for No.1 Allan McGregor. Just got this from the Daily Record but im not sure if banks would want to move as he would be missing out on first team football. |

Lol Steve Banks is pants. Rangers wont match the wages hes on at Hearts. Especially for just a back up keeper. Hel be on over the top wages at Hearts i reckon.
But still any excuse to leave that dump that is Tyncastle, is a good excuse. |
