2008 MLS Combine

Background
Due to the popularity of College sports in America, there is a player draft before every season where players from the College ranks enter to see if a professional team wants them. The process of getting young players is very different from that of European clubs.

The Combine is the last place where MLS teams and their representatives are able to scout players that are entering the SuperDraft. More than 60 players' prospects have been invited to the combine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The players will train and be divided into four teams that will compete against each other on the 11-15 of January. (SuperDraft on 18 of January)

The rosters will also include three invitees from South America and Generation adidas players. All combine participants are automatically eligible for the SuperDraft.
