Tranmere 0-2 Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers surprised high-flying Tranmere with a goal in each half to secure their third straight league win.

Andy Williams fired the Pirates ahead with a neat finish when set up by fellow strike partner Rickie Lambert.

Lambert doubled his side's lead after the break, reacting well to stab the ball home following a long throw in.

The visitors had chances to add more to their tally but David Pipe, Lambert and substitute Craig Disley were all denied by the woodwork.

Battle of the Rovers saw a great result for Bristol Rovers who pulled away from the bottom places with a great win over Tranmere.

Greenacre wasn't fully fit and there were a few players missing. But it's a bad result, considering we had an impressive run at home going into the game.

Such a tight League though!! Great win for Bristol.
