Adriano debuted last night for São Paulo against Guaratinguetá, for the São Paulo State Championship. it was quite clear that he still lacks the so called 'ball tempo' and match fitness, but its understandable when you look at how many games he played for Inter last year. Although his presence was felt in the two goals he scored, the first one with his very style, an instant powerful shot from outside the box. Match ended São Paulo 2-1

So this is his third goal with Sao Paulo he isn't doing bad it seems. Is he running during the matches or he's still walking in the pitch?

Gonzaga if you feel of keeping us up to date with Adriano's season in Brazil by posting time to time a comment about how he's doing we can change the title of the thread in a more general title Question

No it was his second goal, both in the same match. that was the first official match of São Paulo and of Adriano in this season, you might have heard of him scoring in a friendly or something.

And yes I could do that Smile

here are the goals:

Yeah probably was a friendly or something. Thanks for the goals and for the thread I'll rename it then Smile

Adriano seems way thinner, isn't it?

Last night he debuted in Morumbi, São Paulo's stadium. Did nothing especial apart from a header in the post, in the rest of the game he was quite average. São Paulo won at the last minutes 1-0

looks like he got sent off at the weekend ofr a headbutt. Have to say I have seen a clip of it and it doesn't seem as bad as has been made out although he could get a ban of anything between 3 matches and 18 months.
as I said though 3 months is the most i would expect for it, you see worse in the premier league most weeks

Would be a blow for him if he'll get a long term suspension, could even come back to Italy I think (the suspension is valid only in Brazil Question )

I have heard the ban is only for the Brazilian league, but I know that in Europe a ban follows you around to ensure that you don't avoid it just by moving club, so am not totally sure on the ruling.

He played tonite against Atletico Nacional of Colombia in the Copa liberadories "wrong spelling i know" and he had an ok game, fairly lazy player but his vision when passing the ball was very good.

This morning he arrived late to the training, and wanted to leave before its end. Oh he also threatened a photografer: "If you take another photo ill kick your a$$" Laughing

so far he has scored 4 goals in 12 games. Far below the inicial expectatives and a big flop in my opinion. And now he's starting to get in trouble with the board, today Marco Aurélio Cunha, one of the directors, said "here only stay who feels good in the squad, who works for the team. If its not like that, its better leave"

Oh yes he already made himself home. I bet it wasnt very hard though, São Paulo has a great nightlife and even when he feels bored there he can take a flight and in less than 1 hour he's landing in the not less party spirited Rio
