This one is on after the game between the Namibians and Moroccans, and i am anticipating a good, close game with lots of decent players on display.

I will predict, something that has been notoriously difficult within this tournament in recent years, Nigeria 1-2 Ivory Coast.

Im gonna go for 2-1 to the ivory coast too, it will be a close game. Both teams are brilliant attacking wise, but i think Nigeria are inferior in defense. Looking forward to it anyway!

I hope it lives up to the expectations too although i have strong suspicions they will cancel each other out and it will turn out to be a very nervy, cagey affair.

Half time with the scores at 0-0. Relatively cautious start to the game with the players attempting to advance and find their rhythm, plenty of intent to attack being displayed which has made a very interesting forty five minutes. Nigeria have come the closest in an even half when a blistering free kick from Tayo (i think it was) came crashing back off the bar. Dindane and Yaya Toure looking pacey and exciting on the ball for the Elephants.

We have a goal! Ivory Coast 1-0 Nigeria.

Superb individual skill and finish from Salomon Kalou.

Amazing goal by Kalou. Now that was skill. Other than that, the two teams pretty much canceled each other out.

Yeah, but that was to be expected largely. Good game apart from that, with lots of good movement and passing whilst the likes of Dindane, Kalou, Yaya Toure etc were looking dangerous.

Disappointed with Nigeria immensely though. They were largely poor and seemed to lack any vision or movement on the ball.

Dayum, i missed another match, grrrrr.

I would have thought this would be one of the best matches in the group stages, with two big teams in the same group as well.

having watched both the ivorians and nigerians i can say i was not overly impressed with them. The nigerians were toothless in attack with kanu playing at a snails pace..if nigeria do ake it to the 2nd round they will meet either ghana, morocco or guinea...with ghana and morocco more than capable of beating the nigerians..as for the ivorians i will have to watch them in their second game to see what they do.

How wrong can you be ? those two teams will play the final and Nigeria will have the last laugh
yes we were a bit dissapointed today but no worries
As for your take on Kanu I hope you are not smokeing anything becouse it was ovius even to the totaly blind that it was when Kanu left the field that our midfield collapsed and we could not bring in Etuhu becouse he was carring an injury hope he willbe fit for the next game so like I said before NO SHAKEING !! we are still in the game all you premier league fans should not hold your breath you will not be getting any of your players back any time soon

They need to improve quickly. They looked lazy, unbothered and lacked any urgency. Kanu, Martins and Yakubu all couldn't make any space whilst Utaka flickered out rather quickly. Drogba, Kalou and Dindane constantly found holes to exploit in their back four.

I say the race is really on for second between Nigeria and Mali.

THE NIGERIAN..im afraid you are only kidding yourself..the nigerians i know were disgusted with the performance the super eagles gave and rightly admitted that there is not a cat in hells chance that this nigerian team will lift then cup...i can honestly say that mali will give you a run for your money and put you out of your misery onc and for all.
