ok ..changed the title of topic as more appropriate ..

as for the result i think Tottenham have every chance of winning the final , Ramos will know a win will have a knock on effect for his team ...lose and well a dissapointing season it will have been in terms of success ..and no european football next season ....is that correct ...or will they qualify anyway due to Chelsea being in Champion League. ?
i`ll go for a 2-1 win to Spurs with a controversial penalty in the last 2 minutes deciding the result .

Nah, we have to win it.

Nah we got the uefa cup in the bag, so its all good.

Am i right in saying there could be 6 English teams in the uefa cup at the beggining next season, lets say

5th get it.
6th get it.
The Fa Cup final turned out to be Chelsea v Man Utd so 7th got it.
Chelsea win the Carling Cup so 8th get it.
We win the Uefa Cup so we get it.
And then another team get into the intertoto cup win it and then qualify for the it.

Could that happen, then nots rule out all the 4 English teams in the CL finishing 4th in there group and getting uefa cup football then there would be 10. lol Razz

I think only 5th in the league gets a UEFA Cup spot, then the other two come from the League and FA Cups.

I expect a Chelsea win on Sunday, but who ever we play i expect us to win. Spurs are looking good at the mo but with Drogs,JT and Lampard back it doesn't look good for Spurs. I hope to see O'hara play he looks Sh*t hot and i like the way he plays. Good player

I think you are right, Tainio is just wishful thinking. Ramos will go with Zokora Sad

Oh and been told 1000000000000% Robinson will start the final.

We deserve a lot more than your spoilt brat club. The Anelka signing capped it all off for me."Oh sh!t, we're only third place in the league...I know...let's go spend another £15M on a striker so we can catch up". Pathetic.

Grant has done a decent job up to now but he's only won the games you'd expect Chelsea to win - he's lost both the big matches against Man Utd and Arsenal. But this is the time where we'll see how good a manager he is. I'd love to be a fly on the Chelsea dressing room wall when he names the team for the final, just to see how the players who miss out handle it. One of Carvalho, Terry and Alex will miss out, and they won't be too pleased. I heard Lamps might not make it either.

I agree with Conner that it would be refreshing to see a team outside the top four to win something. Last manager outside the top four to win a Cup? One Steve McClaren! Laughing

My personal XI for the final would be:

Cerny

Chimbonda
King
Woodgate
Hutton

Lennon
Jenas
Huddlestone/Zokora
Malbranque

Keane
Berbatov

I can't decide between Zokora and Huddlestone - what do you guys think? I think Ramos will select the other 10 in my side anyway. Zokora gives us more energy in midfield and would provide more of a defensive shield which would allow Jenas to bomb forward more but Huddlestone gives the side an extra dimension with regard to finding a killer pass from the central area, and probably better ball retention. It's a close call. I'd probably just give the edge to Zokora because Jenas is at his best when he's pushing forward and making late runs, and he's becoming such an important player for us.
