Just hold on a minute all you overexcited Spurs fans.
Yes you beat Arsenal 5-1.
Yes you played very, very well. But you haven’t won the cup yet!
Let’s all face the facts that Arsenal fielded a much weakened side that on their day would have given you a run for you money. It wasn’t their day, they played terrible football and for all the pretty passing got nowhere due to a very dodgy defence (Gallas looked half asleep).
It really was embarrassing to watch.
But here’s the thing. After being gloated at by many Spurs fans this week I would just like to remind you all that we beat you when it mattered most, in the league. Twice.
While you’re languishing in 11th position, we are still joint top (only 2nd on goal difference).
And before you all say I’m a bad loser, I can guarantee you that this is not the case.
I have said this for many years, at the start of the season while Arsenal players are thinking “Got to win the premiership/Champions League/FA cup/carling cup” (in that order).
Meanwhile Spurs are thinking “Got to beat Arsenal” and that’s it!
The fact is that Spurs always try a lot, lot harder to beat Arsenal (it took them 9 years to finally manage it!) and if they put as much effort into all of their games they might actually achieve something and start to challenge more at the top of the premiership.
So after Spurs have released “the glorious day we beat Arsenal 5-1 Dvd” think very hard before parting with your hard earned cash.
Because after all, is beating a team once in 9 years really worth shouting about?

How random a statement is that? If I had the faintest idea what you were talking about i might be insulted.
No ones ever told me I sound like Paul Merson before. Or did you mean Paul Merton?

You missed my point entirly. I love the way Spurs fans always think they were "unlucky" when they lose. For once they didn't bottle it after going 1-0 up like they have done time in time out for the last nine years since you last beat us.
That coupled with the fact that you were not playing a full strenth Arsenal side. I seem to remember last year an Arsenal team with less experience went out and beat Liverpool twice in the cup. We thrashed them at home too.
Yeah we had the "world cup winners" Gilberto (past it) and Gallas (looked asleep) playing. You tell yourselves that if it makes you think you have really achived more than you have.
I hope they meat again in the Fa Cup. Then we can put a proper team out and see what happens.

well there are a majority of fans who think beating Arsenal in any way is what matters most in a season , if they finished 17th in the league it would not matter ..as long as they beat Arsenal . I knew a mate at work years ago ...hated Arsenal with a passion ....he said if the choice was Spurs being relegated or Spurs beating Arsenal 5-0 he would prefer the 5-0 .... Shocked That is how much some Spurs fans hate Arsenal ....

we know you do care or you and your silly Arsenal chumps would not bother to a) post your excuses b)keep returning to post more excuses ....

5-1 sounds so one sided ..... oh yea because it was ONE sided!

Lets hope for your sake they don't make the same team choices against Newcastle .... Wink

Seems a pretty easy decision to me too... lol

But yea i get what you mean, he would want the 5-0 win even if it meant we got relegated.

Sounds like an idiot, I dont think I could find 2 more Spurs fans that would ever share that view.

Of course I care. But I didn't make any real excuses. We were soundly beaten fair and square by the better team on the night.
I just think its a little sad for most Spurs fans even if you don't win the cup (which you should if you play that well again) to regard that as a good season. Just because you beat Arsenal once!
Maybe a little more ambition from the fans would rub off on the team and they would try that hard against every team they play.
Arsenal were the only team to do the double over Man Utd last season (and the only team to win at Old Trafford) and we still struggled to finish forth!
I would find it hard to see any Arsenal supporter who regard that as a good season just because we beat one of our greatest rivals!

lol.. i believe this case's still going to remain as an unfinished debate after months..
yo chili.. i think you were also supposed to be kind of overexcited when your team's an unbeatable one of course until boro finally broke the state and things have been likely worse eversince.. rofl..
so why not being fair to let Spurs fanatics pour over their long overdue excitement for trashing you?..
beating Gunners is a good thing.. but thrashing Gunners is a superb thing..

premiership is ours.. no chance at all..
Champions League.. may be ours or other teams.. still no chance..
fa cup.. could be ours or other teams.. no chance either..
carling cup.. oh.. this one's certainly out of chance already..

dooh.. proud as in the term of showing off and being arrogant.. bleh..
our team's surprisingly more loveable than yours.. haha..
coventry were used to be in the premiere league too.. and yeah.. Spurs.. nothing can be more embarrasing than being trashed by your derby rival.. lol..
well.. if you're jealous of ronaldo's skills in diving.. don't be shy.. maybe you could just come to us and learn some tricks.. rofl..
somehow.. diving isn't as dangerous as headbutting.. and all players do dive when there're chances.. *wink back*

We are always hearing stories of Man Utd players going out on the town, showing off and being arrogant...
Even raping people (allegdly).
I have never heard the same about the Arsenal players, or they would be out of the club sharpish (Jermaine Pennant for instance).
As for the "headbutting" thing, i heard Bentner said something racist to Ade and if thats true, he bloody deserved it!
I'm supprised Jenus didn't get involved... Remember the big scrap him and Lee Boyer had when Newcastle played Villa? Now that WAS funny!

Isn't that what football is all about? defending, possesion and shooting at goal? so it's really.... "sadly (for Arsenal fans) Spurs played better football" ?

as a matter of fact.. fergie's very strict about this kind of thing.. having parties and getting drunk.. you won't have any ideas what kind of punishment waiting for them if they get caught red-handed by fergie.. but since you're not a red devil supporter.. you mightn't know that much..

and about the raping case.. i won't like to comment about it.. because if i say it's a fake incident.. you might judge me as a nasty person.. but the thing's that such case's actuall
