Notts County boss offers keeper 2 years deal

Notts County boss Ian Richardson has offered highly-rated young goalkeeper Saul Deeney a new two-year contract.

"He is a player we want to keep at the club. He is out of contract in the summer, but he has done well for us," Richardson said of the 22-year-old. "He deserves a new deal and we are hopeful that something can be agreed."

Meanwhile, the Magpies will be without veteran full-back Mike Whitlow for the rest of the season after he underwent surgery to clear up his knee problem.
