It's okay, i woke up this morning feeling like a bit of Romania.

Yeah, i think i'm nearing towards them.

Croatia's niggling away at me, but i don't really like Slaven... he has a gay ear-ring.

Yeah i'm gonna go for Romania. I've decided.

I'll choose another team once they go out at the group stage though. Wink

He will. If he plays every match he'll be top scorer, guaranteed (i can say that because i know he won't play every match Cool).

He would've been at least joint top-scorer in the Champions League if you included the qualifiers... The guy loves the big matches.

i really liked that kit and i was a big fan of Lothar Matthaus and Klinsmann... before he went to Spurs.

ive had a kind of liking for them since Italia 90!

I loved Matthaus in the early 90's also, he was such a powerful midfielder. I had a tape which had all the goals from Italia 90 and i watched it over and over again, there were a few beauties from Lothar Matthaus. Team wise though i favoured Italy, I loved Toto Schillaci, Roberto Baggio, Donadoni and a few others.

As for the Euro's i'm Supporting Poland. I speak some of the language and know a few Poles.

yeah i do have the same affection for Italy but i think the fact ze Germans won the tournament kind of swung it in their favour as i was an impressionable kid Wink

Italia 90 was my first and favourite world cup by a long shot!

glooooooooooryhunter Rolling Eyes

and ben you..you..you F*ck*r... why to germany... ther are sooooo many teams...and what do you pick...germany.

Speaking of their winning mentality, Ballack told the other players in the tunnel just before the game against Poland that they're not going to lose a single tackle today.
That's winning mentality!

And Yessica, what's your problem with Germany? Jealous because we perform in tournaments and you don't?

yeah and Germany battled well which showed they did just what he said.

i was suprised at the complacency in attack though, Germany traditionally are much more ruthless. i cant imagine Voller or Klinsmann doing what Klose was trying!!

I like the techincal aspect of Germany's play. they have no showboaters or 'stars', just a solid team who are passionate and patriotic who would give their all for their country. England could and should learn a lot from them.

I like Joachim Low, he is organising the team properly and insist a lot on tactical stuff.
The amount of work that is done in term of preparation is really impressive with that German side.
Not stone is left unturned in terms of logistics, physical preparation and general organisation around the team.

I used to have a grudge against Germans for years after what happened in 1982
After the game, the France squad had a chance encounter at the airport with the ref
and Tigana tried to hit him but was restrained. Laughing
Quite glad I met a few nice German people who changed my view on them.

@steely: Yea Klose plays quite unselfishly these days. I guess it's because he became more of a supporter for Luca Toni at Bayern. But he's always been a player who puts the team first and his personal success second.

@shlj: Löw is definitely a good coach and he gets the best out of our players. Many players have said that they have never trained that hard in their lives before!
He knows a lot about tactics, actually, it's him who was responsible for the tactics in the Klinsmann era. I deeply admire Klinsmann for bringing German football back to the top. What I especially admire about him is that he takes advice from people who really know what they're talking about and Löw was one of them.
However, I can't really agree with his nominations for the EC and I sometimes disagree with his lineup.

And what happened in 1982 was really [beep!] up. The foul itself was bad enough but making jokes about such a horrible injury was nothing but asocial and disgusting by Schumacher. Afaik he apologized for it a few days later and they don't have a problem with each other now.
It's very understandable that people felt a strong dislike for him or maybe his teammates. But that's almost 26 years ago and most of our players weren't even born back than so it would be stupid to hate them for something they have absolutely nothing to do with. I don't hate the Dutch just because Rijkaard spit at Völler in 1990 or the Russians because of what that linesman did to us in Wembley in 1966. That would be pathetic.

Still supporting the Germans and still fancy them to win it.

Their Defence was the shaky part, especially in the middle in the World Cup. But that seemed to resolve over time. I think they'll sort it out and with the new attacking options, they are very strong.

Being half spanish, i think i'll be cheering on Spain to win. having duel nationality works in my favour, because im always guaranteed one of my two countries to be in either the world cup or the european champs.
