The scoreline doesn't reflect the game. It was a great game, shame Ivory Coast lost.
I think the keepers made the difference. The egyptian keeper is class, whereas the two ivory coast keepers made Barthez looks like Buffon or Casillas.
Not every keeper could have stopped that Drogba header.

After watching Egypt in the competition for the past few years, I'm surprised more European Clubs haven't signed these guys.

Although they are so successful in the Cup because a lot of them play in the same League, a few at the same Club and many of them are on the same level.

Aboutreika is such a class player who would walk into quite a few Champions League sides. I'm surprised he hasn't been scooped from the Egyptian League at all.

I thought it was a hugely entertaining encounter between two good footballing sides. The game i feel has been well summed up here in this thread already, so i won't go into significant detail although i do feel it was certainly a result that flattered the Egyptians a little. Ivory Coast lost concentration all too often and paid the price against a strongly talented, technically gifted Egypt side.

Egypt's keeper was superb.
