Just read that Lucas turned down Inter to sign for us.
With that one statement he has grown in my estimation, although I am not to happy about him saying it would be more of a challenge at Liverpool. At the moment though I can't picture him as a long term first team fixture, he is missing something, but I don't know exactly what it is. It maybe that recent Liverpool midfields have been associated with tackling rather than with pure creative play |

Nah i don't think he needs to go out on loan, he's good enough to get games in our senior squad. And with Alonso out of favour he is needed all the more.
He had an excellent game against Chelsea in the Carling Cup; then he had a shocker against Sunderland... although played out of position. But i still regard him as one of our most exciting of players alongside Babel. Both have huge potential. |
