didnt kno where to write this so set up a new topic.just got in from work and caught the end of Newcastle Jets and Queensland Roar.looked a good game.finished 3-2 to Newcastle.there was 3penos.joel griffiths(leeds reject) scored one of them.former Newcastle and gers defender Craig Moore was sent off for an elbow.Now the final is between Newcastle Jets and Central Coast.its live on sky sports at 7am on sunday 24th....ps at least Newcastle mit win something for once

Brilliant night - one of the best.

After supporting garbage teams all my life (funny you mentioned the Toon lol) it's finally great to be able to experience what a grand final and the lead up to it is all about.

The three penalties you mentioned were rubbish. Not one was deserving of a penalty. The ref did everything he could to take it away from us (and the linesman with that pathetic offside call on Griffo/Hearfield) but thankfully Elrich scored that thunderbolt after about 110 minutes.

Last time we played the Mariners we got thumped 3 - 0 (first lost to them in 2 years to the day). It's time for redemption.
