Kaka is a class player but is he the best - he won the awards last year so enough people must have reckoned he was.

This year is he better than Ronaldo, probably just about, Kaka always give the impression that he is committed for the whole game, Ronaldo seems that he only plays for portions of the game

i saw him on the bench next to o'shea in that match.. so consider he's rested for tomorrow's match.. ^^

Naw you so him in the crowd sitting beside Silvestre. He was rested, as was Scholes & Giggs. He'll play tonight, factamundo

The only problem I have with Cristiano Ronaldo is the actual lack of impact he has during many games. He may grab the headlines with a good strike or a great free kick, yet I find when i have watched him on many occasions this season his actual work rate and overall contribution to games are sorely lacking.

on current form i would have to say Messi should most definitely be on that list.I don't know why this is always tilted to attacking players ,the only defender i see on that list i see get twitsted up time after time.He only get's respect because italy won the world cup and not one player really stood out in that team.
seedorf is well overlooked, and i think you got to look at what they've won,in which case kaka deserves
to be a top nominee.
I think there are guy's not mentioned who are without question the best in their position and three of them play for Chelsea Drogba,Makalele and Essien.
The lack of african players not selected is quite ridiculous actually, but i guess you can pretty much predict that.

Don't tell us, it's another race-orientated conspiracy!? I thought we'd seen the last of that with Bendtner and Adebayor...

well if it walks like a duck...........!
what's your theory,just for laughs?

by the way,I don't think you can read mate,i clearly stated that i didn't think the issue between the two Arsenal players wasn't a racism issue.

Anyway!!!!!!

lol.. why would you put ronaldinho second? Shocked
he isn't even close to messi.. or ronaldo.. lol..

i've no idea who my world best player is.. haven't found the right person yet.. T.T

geezer are you talking about on current form or outright, because going by yuour wording it sounds like you actually believe Messi is a better player than Ronaldinho ever was.
How soon we forget when one is not on from.talk about fickle, tahat's why certain tabloids make money because a large % of peole are morons.
There will be a few players you can compare to messi or ronaldo as great as i think messi is.BUt,there is no one you can compare to ronaldinho.Name me one player in history who can run a defenses as fsat as Ronaldinho take a heavy hit at full speed and still stay on his feet. The player is unique the others on that list are not unique ,but are performing better than ronaldinho today.

Flipper is a lady,mate.

Anyway you wana know someone in history who can run at defences like Ronaldinho. Here's one........Messi.

Now let's think about why people are fickle towards Ronaldinho.

1)He has been abysmal for the last 2 years.Somebody with missing digits can count on one hand the amount of good games he has played in the last season and a half. You talk about judging players simply on form.Sorry,my friend, but that is exactly what you have done.Messi is getting praise right now because he is doing the job that Ronaldinho is no longer able to do.

2)He was only at the top of his game for 2 years.

Sure, you might have a valid point when you say Ronaldo and Messi have only been at the top for a season/season and a half, but that has been for the most seasons. This means that right now they are better than Ronaldinho and I believe that is what the thread is about.

erm.. maybe about current form.. ronaldo's the only one i see most of the time.. others are just from highlights.. but i've got a reason for saying messi's better than ronaldinho.. based on that current form..

and are you trying to say that all uefa officials are not good enough to arrange the list of world's best players?.. of course.. we're talking about present time.. lol..

i understand that you can't expect a player to play well all the time.. ronaldinho's got his time.. maybe if this thread's made a few years ago.. the result might be different..

however.. it's your choice if you still wanna put ronaldinho on top for the next decade ahead.. i was simply asking why you put ronaldinho second.. while you know he's not even in the top list already.. no need to freak out like that.. lol..

and by the way.. everyone has the right to compare any players they like.. XD
now.. i'd like to compare ronaldo to benzema before tonight's match.. =P

Kimmy - Underrated? Confused The man is a walking ass! (as most of what comes out of him is either sh!t or it stinks)

Still my favourite quote ever during the World Cup...

Erik, who do you think is the best Goal Keeper in the world cup?

Casey Keller, without a doubt! Everyone talks about Buffon and Casillas, but Keller is the best of the keepers in this competition! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

As mad as this sounds (I know me and specnur have disagreed on many points) but I think this post is spot on.When it comes to tactics and who is playing well/badly and why and what they need to do and things like that I thought Wynalda got it right most of the time and also he was cool to listen to.He was a cool guy.

Yeah that Keller quote was crazy but I had a feeling ESPN had something to do with that.
