I am terribly relieved to see Aliadière up there. I truly believe that he's the best darn Striker we've yet to see in the modern era.

Goals? Who needs goals? Scoring goals isn't important in the game anymore. Aliadière is the master in this case and his general game is mesmerizing. He was in the shadow of Thierry Henry at Arsenal and never got the chance to replace him because of injury. His confidence was then shot and his progress went downhill.

But since joining Boro, he has once again found his true self and some confidence. His pace, skill and physique makes him the best player in the World for me.

Why is Gerrard in there? why is Rooney in there? it's a question that can't bring facts only oppinions. If people are going on this season Gerrard wouldn't be in the top 100.As a footballer Kaka is in a different league to Gerrard

That's quite the contradiction there sonny.

No brainer:

Cristiano Ronaldo without a dout. Kaka and Messi are tremendous players but when you judge a player you have to look at all kinds of atributes. For me Ronaldo is a more complete player and the fact in can play as stricker and wings. He as strenght, flair, pace, great header of the ball, out of this world technical ability, exquisite free kick take and is only 22 and please tell me the other too are that complete!

surely the best player in the world should be able to perform against the very best teams. I am yet to see Ronaldo play well against Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. I have only seen him play really well against a poor performing Roma in the Champions League against one of Europes top clubs. Against every other team, he destroys them, but surely the best player in the world should be able to do it against the best, something both Messi and Kaka have proven to be able to do. He might be the best player on current form, but i would not say he is the best player in the world, just maybe playing the best.

lol.. why would you put ronaldinho second? Shocked
he isn't even close to messi.. or ronaldo.. lol..

i've no idea who my world best player is.. haven't found the right person yet.. T.T

geezer are you talking about on current form or outright, because going by yuour wording it sounds like you actually believe Messi is a better player than Ronaldinho ever was.
How soon we forget when one is not on from.talk about fickle, tahat's why certain tabloids make money because a large % of peole are morons.
There will be a few players you can compare to messi or ronaldo as great as i think messi is.BUt,there is no one you can compare to ronaldinho.Name me one player in history who can run a defenses as fsat as Ronaldinho take a heavy hit at full speed and still stay on his feet. The player is unique the others on that list are not unique ,but are performing better than ronaldinho today.

Flipper is a lady,mate.

Anyway you wana know someone in history who can run at defences like Ronaldinho. Here's one........Messi.

Now let's think about why people are fickle towards Ronaldinho.

1)He has been abysmal for the last 2 years.Somebody with missing digits can count on one hand the amount of good games he has played in the last season and a half. You talk about judging players simply on form.Sorry,my friend, but that is exactly what you have done.Messi is getting praise right now because he is doing the job that Ronaldinho is no longer able to do.

2)He was only at the top of his game for 2 years.

Sure, you might have a valid point when you say Ronaldo and Messi have only been at the top for a season/season and a half, but that has been for the most seasons. This means that right now they are better than Ronaldinho and I believe that is what the thread is about.

I think that is accurate to a point ,for sure ronaldinho hasn't been in the form he was before the world cup,but to say that barcelona is messi's team is a bit of a stretch. The boy doesn'nt have the dimension to his game that ronaldinho has to this day>he can't pass like him,he can't take a free kick like him and he doen't have the vision of ronaldinho.messi is a fantastic player at what he does which run at the defense,he is a one dimensional player, but he his what cristiano ronaldo wishes for because messi is effective in the big games for the most part.

The best player i the world has to be the one who team has won the most silverwear recently which sound like Kaka.I never really like to base decisions on this factor because soemtimes that player can't perform the same witout his teammates.I think the best player in my eyes is Drogba because he is effective more than anyone else in big games.the role he plays is that of a lone striker ,a very difficult position to be effective in.Drogba's effectiveness in terms of fairly and physically outdoing opponents one on one under pressure rely's less on his teammates. Those guy's mentioned above all depend on the rest of the team to open up spaces for them to be effective.Drogba single handedly carried his team last season while the likes of former fifa world player schevchenko found it impossible to find success.

I don't know if i will be able to put drogba in the #1 spot enxt year but he's there right now.

BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD
