Group A:
Cech Republic
Portugal
Switzerland
Turkey

Group B:
Austria
Croatia
Germany
Poland

Group C:
France
Italy
Netherlands
Romania

Group D:
Greece
Russia
Spain
Sweden

Quarter Finals:
#25 Winner Group A vs Runner-Up Group B
#26 Winner Group B vs Runner-Up Group A
#27 Winner Group C vs Runner-Up Group D
#28 Winner Group D vs Runner-Up Group C

Semi Finals:
#29 Winner #25 vs Winner #26
#30 Winner #27 vs Winner #28

Finals:
Winner #29 vs Winner #30

So pretty much what i got out of that was that Teams from Group A and B cant play any team from Group C or D until the finals. So we couldnt see a France v Italy final again. So Judging by tis information above i have made my predictions for this upcoming tournament.

Quarter Finals:
#25 Portugal vs Croatia 2-0
#26 Germany vs Cech Republic 3-1
#27 Italy vs Sweden 3-0
#28 Spain vs France 1-1 Spain wins on Penalties

Semi Finals
#29 Portugal vs Germany 1-2
#30 Italy vs Spain 2-3 Spain wins in Extra Time

Final:
Germany vs Spain 2-1

Winner: Germany

So I have Germany winning Euro 2008 after a fairly easy road to the Semi Final and then i think that Lahm will shut down Ronaldo which is Portugal and Klose will use his goal instints to fire them into the final where they will beat Spain 2-1.

Why Germany? You may ask. Well Nuer is brilliant to start them off at keeper. Lahm at left back is the best left back in the world imo. Mertesacker and Metzelder are very solid and very tall and very strong at the back. Freidrich, Jansen, whoever at right back its still up for grabs at the moment but they are all solid. The midfield is anchored by Frings who is very, very solid. Sweinsteiger on the right and Hitzelsperger on the left will make a good wing partnership and whip in quality balls while Ballack will just be Ballack and prove to the world how good he really is for Germany. (I think he is way better for Germany then Chelsea....) At the front we have the much experianced Klose who is lethal in-front of goal for club or country and then we have options. Gomez, brilliant, Kurayni, Powerful, Podolski wants to prove a point, 2006 World Cup best young player of the tournament. (and yes Messi was playing) They are also very close to Germany being they are Austria which is the country right under them and they all speak German.

I felt like giving a full analysis on what i think Wink

I'm really looking forward to an Englandless Euro 2008.

I have always supported Spain as my second team (family) so that is where my allegiance will lie.

If they do get to the final then I will be off to Spain for a bit of glory hunting the days leading up to the final. Razz

Que Viva Espana.

Isn't it obvious? Spain will never win, they have never been and will never be big match winners, just like in the world cup they were beaten fair and square against France. Yes the might thrash small teams and maybe defeat England, but they will neeever, and I mean eevver beat Italy/France/Germany in a semi - or quarter final.

Winners: Del Piero goes to Euro 2008 = ITaly
Del Piero doesn't go to Euro 08 = France (Henry)

Germany or Portugal will probably win i think, so whichever gets through their half of the draw for me. My guess is that France will make up the final.

Though i'd prefer either Spain, Germany or Holland, of the realistic candidates, to win it.

I think Germany has good chances to win, Italy being the biggest rival.
I'm going to analyze the squad when it's being announced soon, but I can already tell that our internationals are hitting form.
We have incredibly talented keepers, even though Lehmann will most certainly play.

Our defenders are among the best in the world. Lahm, Mertesacker and many more will make sure we keep a clean sheet.

Frings and Borowski, being injured for large parts of the season are definately improving. Along with Ballack, we have a great midfield (if only Schweinsteiger showed what he's capable off..).

Kuranyi, Podolski, Gomez (25 goals in 29 matches!) and Klose. Nothing more to say. Klose doesn't play very well atm, but at peak form, he's one of the best strikers in the world (silver and golden boot at the last to world cups).

All in all, I think that we have good chances of winning the Cup, if our key players hit form in the right moment. Most of the times they do.

How come Croatia are the poll & not Romania? Is it just because they beat England there in it? Laughing

Croatia's chances are much higher because of the group's they're respectively in.

Although I wish Croatia all the best (I'm 1/4 Croatian Smile ), I don't really see them winning this tournament. Especially since Eduardo is out of action, their best striker. This is really going to hurt them.

I think they can make it to the semi-final at best.

Hopefully we can win it ( France ) but I am not sure because we have a difficult group and our strategy is quite defensive indeed a 4-5-1 based on counter attacking. Some player have not hit form this season so I would say Germany Holland and Italy are the main contenders for me.
