Kris O'Leary hopes his match-winning performance against Oxford will help earn him a new contract with Swansea.
The versatile defender or midfielder from Neath is out of contract in the summer and despite interest from other clubs is keen to stay with the Swans.

"I have strong feelings for Swansea and it's almost nine years since (former manager) Frank Burrows gave me a debut," O'Leary said.

"I want to continue playing for the club, I'd love to stay."

Macclesfield and Northampton are believed to be two of the clubs who could offer an alternative to O'Leary should he have to look elsewhere.

Swans manager Kenny Jackett confimed that he has opened talks with the player and that O'Leary could be in line for a testimonial match in the new stadium at Morfa.

But despite those encouraging signs, O'Leary admits the uncertainty over his future is unsettling.

"It's something I deal with myself," O'Leary told the News of the World. "I keep any anxiety away from my wife and two kids."
