Rooney going off....Again... |
|
I've been waiting for someone to mention the Rooney tirade occuring during the Northern Ireland WCQ'r, since nobody has, I suppose I will. Maybe everyone has now gotten accustomed to his tantrums. Lashing out at Beckham, than at Rio (his club mate?). What's up with this guy? Then I see Shearer being interviewed and says, 'he just a young lad.....' That's has been the excuse for him for awhile now, it's getting pretty old. Bottom line, an 8 year old knows what is right and what is wrong, so I think Rooney should as well. But Rooney I would expect to make the correct choice, yet he continues to lash out at players, ref's and now his countryman. Somebody needs to put a boot in his rear before we see another talent wasted because of lack of guidance.

I didnt watch the match myself so didnt se it but it sounds pretty bad. I agree he needs to grow up. As for the excuse of 'hes just a lad', that is [beep!]! He is a young lad who earns gazillions of dollars and should act accordingly.
It is funny to watch sometimes tho, lets hope he plays tonight in the Manchester derby, City will be out to wind him up for sure. |

I think in this case, the Manager is to be blamed too. Never select a trouble-maker, it is bad for a squad's motivation.
In 1998 France Coach refused to select Cantona; still they have won the world Cup. In 2002 Brazil Coach refused to select Romario, they have won too. It's not like England is running out of strikers option. Brazil Coach had a tough decision because Ronaldo was just recovering, and there wasnt another striker to rely on except Romario. Even the Brazil President begged the coach to select Romario, but he refused. Football is not only talent, it requires discipline too. A man who impregnate a woman is considered adult, no matter how young he is. |
